St. Charles MO

A group of 6 women are planning a weekend getaway to St. Charles and would like some tips on what to see and the best restaurants. Also any information on wineries in the area would also be great

You should definitely go to the historic area in St. Charles, on Main Street. There is good signage, can't miss it. Lots of quaint little girly shops and places to eat and have a drink or an ice cream. There is a winery there, Winery of the Little Hills where you can sit outside and just enjoy yourselves. Also try to go to Miss Aimee B's Tearoom. Its not on Main Street, but is very close. Lewis and Clarks has good food, as well as Magpie's. A new place just opened, The Poisin Apple. They have pasta, salads, stuff like that. And fun martinis, too (like Witch's Brew, Snow White, Poisin Apple). I assume you will have a car, so just take Hwy 94 South (it's not far, but is spread out), Thats called the "Wine Road". There are a bunch of wineries along 94. Make sure you hit Montelle Winery, they have cheese and bread to buy, get a few bottles of wine there and sit on their terrace. It's breathtaking there. You can see the little town way in the distance, very relaxing and fun. Hope this helps!
