In town this weekend for concert--a couple questions

We will be in St. Louis tomorrow, June 9-June 10 for a concert at The Pageant and will be staying at the Moonrise Hotel.

We're getting into town tomorrow around lunch time. Do you have any recs for neat local places to eat around this area, preferably within walking distance? Cuisine doesn't matter; probably someplace not terribly expensive ($50 or less for lunch or dinner).

What else is there to do in this area? We have been to the city once before and went to the zoo, a museum (forget which one), walked around Forest Park and went paddle boating, saw the arch, etc. We won't have a ton of time tomorrow afternoon and Sunday morning, but would like to explore a little bit. Any suggestions? Any good cupcake shops around there?

For food - Fitz's root beer in U City is good and fun! Also Blueberry Hill is fun also!

I would suggest the AB Brewery Tour. It is free and you get a few complimentary beers at the end! The tour is actually interesting and you get to see the clydesdales!

For cupcakes - Jilly's Cupcake Bar is the best! It is on Delmar right at highway 170. They won one of the cupcake shows and they also have an amazing weekend brunch!

Have fun!!!

There are SO many places right down the street from your hotel. Pi (pizza), Gokul (vegetarian Indian buffet), Thai Country Cafe, Fitz's, Nico (French-ish), Blueberry Hill (cool ambiance for a drink, don't think the food is good though!), Ranoush (Middle Eastern). None of those are too expensive. Pi might be the most, they have deep dish and they also use all sustainable/eco friendly practices. It's practically across the street. My suggestion is to just walk down and look at menus to see what appeals to you.

The AB Tour that the above poster mentioned is fun and free. Good suggestion. The tours happen frequently.

I disagree with the above poster, Jilly's cupcakes are awful. The best would be from The Cup or Sweet Art (but don't think Sweet Art is open on Sundays).
