Groceries in Big Sky?

We'll be skiing at Big Sky Resort in December, staying in a Stillwater condo, and we're wondering about groceries.... Is there anyplace to buy cereal, milk, juice, bread, etc....?

There will be the Hungry Moose market on the ski hill, but it will be pricey! Best bet to stop in Bozeman or Belgrade if you are flying in anyway to get most of your stuff ahead of time.

Thanks Beartooth. I guess the question is whether or not to rent a car or I gather there is a limo/shuttle service that we could take? If we rent a car, then yes we could pick up supplies in Bozeman, but if we take the shuttle......

Once you get on I90 to go west from Billings you will pass two Walmarts right next to the interstate with easy on/off access. The first one is at Laurel (exit 434). You will see it on the north side of the road and take the exit right after seeing it. The second one is at Bozeman (exit 306).

If you want to go to other grocery stores such as Albertson's or IGA it will involve a little more driving. I can give you directions for Billings. There are also co-ops both in Billings and Bozeman. Both Billings and Bozeman have Costco so if you are a member. Bozeman's Costco is easier to get to from the interstate (exit 305).

Belgrade has an Lee's IGA right off the exit. You will take the Belgrade exit to go south to Big Sky.

If you take Karst Stage as your transport from BZN they'll stop at the IGA or Albertsons on the way to Big Sky IF you request. You can fax your order to the store so it's ready, or, you'll just run in and grab items in a dash.

Look Karst Stage up and call them directly so you can determine if you want private or shared rides and ask about the grocery/liquor store stop.
