May I ask why Columbia Falls and why the of End of October? It's not the best time if you are planning on hiking or driving in Glacier. Weather will be cold, dreary, rainy and or snowy. All services in the park will be shut down except the visitor centers at Apgar and St Mary which will be open limited hours and days. Most restaurants and shops in gateway towns of East and West Glacier and St Mary will be closed too. Going To The Sun Rd will be closed from Lake McDonald Lodge to St Mary. Fall colors will be bland, although the mountains will be snow capped and beautiful.
