2 days based at West Yellowstone

We will be spending 2 nights at West Yellowstone for a quick trip to the Park - no that is not enough but it really is a business trip and this is what we have for fun. Looking at the Yellow Bus for the 10 hour tour one day, but know we would need to get to Old Faithful by 8 to get it. Are there other options for tours that would give us an overview for the day?

You should post on the Yellowstone forum (under Wyoming) for details. Beware of tours that rush you too much. Geysers run on their own timetable.

There is a variety of tour operators who will drive you into Yellowstone from West, thus eliminating the need to be in the park (Old Faithful is an hour drive from West Yellowstone on a good day with no traffic and no wildlife jams).

There is a listing of possible options on the West Yellowstone Chamber website:

I will also say that if you have a vehicle, Yellowstone is easy to self-tour and it's certainly at your own pace and less expensive. If you decide this might be an option for you, I'd recommend picking up a copy of the guidebook Yellowstone Treasures by Janet Chapple before you depart home and post any further questions on the Yellowstone forum: tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g60999-i481-Yellow…
