Glacier NP US/Canada

We will be in Whitefish and will have a car and want to visit GNP on the US and Cdn side. If we buy a US park pass, is it valid in both countries? What is driving/stopping time like from one side to the other in Canada?

Where would be my best resource for the highlights of the park?

you need a parks canada pass for any national park in canada. your glacier park pass will only be good for glacier. There is a annual pass for all national parks but it is only worth it

1) if you want to support parks

2) you plan on visiting several us parks to make the price cost effective.

driving time depends on how much you stop because you'll be going through awesome scenary.

going to canada from whitefish via going to the sun road could easily take anywhere from 3 hours (meaning no stops no nothing!) to 5 or 6.

your best source is the glacier website at nps.gov

also try http://visitmt.com/
