Kearney to Scotts Bluff and back is it worth the time?

Planning a trip to the Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma area, is the 550 mile drive in both time and money from Kearney to Scotts Bluff really worth it? My trip is getting a tad long but I dont want to drive from PA to NE and miss something outstanding. We have been to Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyons, Yellowstone, Tetons, Canadian Rockies, Kearney to Scott Bluff would likely add 2 days to my trip.

As much as we love the history of Scottsbluff and Chimmey Rock, I don't think it would be worth your time to go to this area. If you were going to be in that area, then make sure to stop, but not to have to drive from Kearney to Scottsbluff.

It is kind of a long side trip. But I would at least consider a drive into the Sand Hills - it's a unique geological area.

This map shows where the Sand Hills are:
