looking for kodak moments around Tahoe

I got a new camera for x-mas and a trip to go with it to break it in. I chose Lake Tahoe so now I need to find the best places to go exploring and take pictures. I know we want to do the Horsetail falls hike, go up the gondola and drive around the lake...any other rec's for hikes or drives for great photo opp's?

We are staying in South Lake Tahoe and arriving June 7th....

Go to Sand Harbor for some really great scenery. There are giant boulders in the water and the blueness of the water around the boulders is very nice.

Take the lakeside trail out of DL BLiss. The trail does go all the way around to Emerald Bay but this trail has views not seen from the road as the road does not get close to the lake in this area.

Take pics of the homes at the tallac site.

Vikingsholm and Hellmann-Ehrmann Mansion are great locations for pics.

Angora Lake

The lake is surrounded by cliffs and giant rocks. Take Highway 89 north approximately 3 miles from South Lake Tahoe to Fallen Leaf Lake Road and turn left. Turn left at the first paved road. Continue to Forest Service Road 12N14 and turn right. Watch for bicyclists along this road. Continue past Angora Lookout to the road's end at the parking lot. There may be a day use fee.

Cascade Falls & Lake:

Turn into the Bayview Campground across from Emerald Bay Inspiration Point, drive to the end and park at the trailhead. Take the trail that veers left. Spectacular views of the 200-foot high falls and Cascade Lake can be seen from this short trail.
