Before leaving the room for the day I unpacked my extra memory card. knew I would need it later, as I had already taken ton of pictures in just one day. I decided not to leave it out on the desk "just in case" and stuck inside a small bag that I kept my cheap "not-gold" jewelry in. I left a tip for the maid and off we went.
We tried a few slots and finally found one that we liked. Lost on that for a while and then ventured off to the Alladin for the infamous Spice Market Buffet champagne brunch. It took us FOREVER to finally find that place. With all of the construction that's going on I guess someone forgot to put up signs to tell you how to get there. After searching through the Desert Passage and stopping for directions about 3 times we finally found some escalators hidden behind a wall in the casino that lead to it. Silly me didn't realize that brunch didn't start till 11:00. So, we just added champagne to our meal for an extra $3 each. Breakfast was incredible (def. worth getting lost), and the champagne or Mimosa's made it even better. I was on cloud nine drinking glass after glass. Funny thing was it was the tipsiest I got on our whole trip and it wasn't even noon yet.
Next we headed up north toward the Venetian. Stopped along the way at O'sheas for a $1 beer and got a picture with the midget. I was really silly at this point. Found our way to Maddame Tussad's (sp?) Wax Museum. I don't know if it was the alcohol or what, but that place was a hoot. We had sooo much fun taking pictures with all the celebrities. We've even been able to fool a few people back home into thinking they're real.
After the wax museum, the buz started wearing off and it was time for some coffee. We wandered around the Venetian for a while then crossed the street and walked past T.I. and The Mirage, then back through the shops @ Forrum where I bought my Coach Bag (YAY!) even though I hadn't won a dime on the slots. Hubby bought a few things in the shops and then we went to the Bellagio (my favorite). We checked out the gardens, indulged in some chocolates and decided to pinpoint the buffet since we planned to eat lunch there the next day. It was soooo easier to find.
Next we headed back to the room to shower up for dinner and our show of the evening, Jubilee. I went to get my memory card and it was gone. I looked all over for it.... NO WHERE! I assume the maid stole it. Why steal a memory card? I don't know. But I do know where I put it and it wasn't there anymore, so unles a ghost came in a took it, she did. We ate dinner at Ventuno's @ the Flamingo. My steak was unbelievable! I def. recommend it. We had 2 hours to kill so we decided to hitch a cab and check out the T.I. show. Wow that place gets crowded! People were SOOOO RUDE here, shoving you out of the way if they couldn't get past. It was crazy. I spent more time trying not to get pushed down then watching the show so I can't comment on how good or bad it was. Hubby liked it though (he's 6'4 and had no problem seeing).... wonder if he actually watched the show or if he was just entranced by all the rock hard bodies those girls had. haha! Next we checked out the Mirage Volcano and headed to Bally's for our 10:30 Jubilee show.
The show was awesome, except jetlag really started setting in and I was exhausted beyond words. I prayed that someone would just lift me up and carry me back to my room.... I'm sure anyone who has been to Vegas can relate to that feeling. It sucked so bad though because around midnight it looked like everyone was just coming out and the party was just beginning but once again here we were heading up to our room to pass out.
To be continued...
