- when is the CHEAPEST time(s) of year to go?

- when is vegas most EXPENSIVE?

- what time of year would you LEAST like to visit vegas?

Best time-Very Subjective, I go 3,4,5 times a year and never really plan it by the time of year or when is better or worse.

Cheapest-This is easy. Between Thanksgiving and X-mas with the exception of the 10 or so days the Rodeo is in town.

Most Expensive-Typically NY's and most of the month March (march madness, Spring Break and NASCAR). Also COMDEX week and a few of the other very big conventions take up many of the rooms pushing the prices up on what rooms are left.

Least-Popular vote will be July and Aug due to the heat. For me it doesnt matter.

these are all subjective. best for me may not be best for you

I like it hot, so July - September better for me than February - although I have been 3 times this year and love each trip

summer and the first 2 weeks are usually cheaper, along with weekdays cheaper than week-ends

most expensive during big events such as boxing, concerts and major conventions, also holidays

i like it any time of year

The best time is subjective- I like going during the World Series of Poker because the poker action around town is awesome. Cash games are big every places, and the daily tournaments draw a lot of people. (330 at a Noon tourny at Caesars one day). I also like during the fall and spring- when it is nice enough to walk on the strip. and cools off a little at night.

The cheapest time is the week right before Christmas- and that was a good time to go as well. Also after July 4th through August is slower as well.

The most expensive- New Year's Eve- the rates are off the chart. Big weekends are also expensive (Super Bowl, The NBA All Star Game being in Vegas this year, the NASCAR race weekend, three day holiday weekends can draw them in as well)

I like going about any time- but the summer is very hot and that would be my least enjoyable time as you really can't walk the strip.

Cheap/Less expensive does not alway = best

Not just Vegas but most anything. You say who are a golfer you should know that.

Hmmm, I think most any time of the week is a good time to go to Vegas. But I’m thinking my wallet says otherwise.

I personally like April and October. The daytime temps aren’t brutal – I like to hangout by the pool during the early part of the day, then walk the strip the latter part, and then gamble at night.

I have been to Vegas every month of the year. The best time for me (weatherwise) would be September/ late May-early June. The cheapest time- July, August, December between the ending of the rodeo and a few days before NYE. The most expensive time- no contest- NYE.

My least favorite time- hmmm. I am not sure I have one. Probably February.

By the way- Comdex is no longer in Vegas. It was held at the beginning of November but it has been years since it was held in Vegas. That was a very expensive time.

We generally go in January, avoiding the CES convention and NYE. The prices are very reasonable. Airfare is cheaper because the holidays are over. The shows are up and running (many are not open during the last two weeks of December). It's not pool weather, but it's generally sunny about 60 degrees. Sometimes we have encountered rain or snow flurries. The crowds are much less, and hiking in Valley of Fire in 60 degree weather is pleasant, I can't imagine hiking out there in 100 degree heat. I think May would be a good time to visit, pools are open but it's not so hot. There are a lot more conventions in May, so prices are higher.

I am sitting here listening to the snow, ice, hail, freezing rain and sleet hitting my window-no school because of dangerous road conditions. I will now change my previous answer: I have now decided that February is a fabulous time to visit Vegas!

I hear ya vp03, I'm doing the same - listening to the ice hit my window. I just checked the snow outside and it's going to be a pain in the butt to shovel.

At least I'll be in Vegas next weekend ;)
