Recent Aladdin Visitors - ???

Anyone been to Aladdin /PH lately?

Any report on the Mezzanine level. Website shows a deli-style food shop and that's it.

I'm hoping they are getting ready for MM crowd! TV's betting stations, BAR!

Thanks

laurasue: You mentioned something about Commander's Palace in your trip report that I took to mean that they have closed. Is this correct or do I need my reading comprehension checked lol?

Hi oaklandparkmark, you are correct (I actually just responded in your other post. CP closed a few months back, sadly. But they plan to repoen in a new location - rumors I've heard point to Palazzo. No timeline for when that might be though.

Reasons for closure that have been swirling around include sky high rent and reduced foor traffic due to all of the construction.

since you mentioned Planet Dailies , after Planet Hollywood flops, may be they could call it the Daily Planet and have superman, jimmy and lois lane around.

Good to know about Planet Dalies. I may give it a try -when we were there last May we sat down and I was served a water with a bug in it. We sat there for about 10 minutes with no waiter and I decided I was too grossed out to eat there, so we left.

CP could get pretty crowded for lunch. In November they were completely packed and it was about 2:30, when lunch ended, but they were nice enough to squeeze us in and the maitre'd waited on us - it was very nice. Man I miss that place! I hope they reopen soon :)

I just came back (Friday, 3/2) from the Aladdin/PH. A group of four stayed for five days. As another poster stated, most of the construction is going on outside of the hotel/casino. They were installing new carpet just off the casion (outside of PF Changs) and there is still some work being done in that area.

The Mezzanine Level has Caffe Mezz which is not open 24 hours - the only option for late night food is the Starbucks and PF Changs. PF also has a breakfast buffet for $6.99 until 11:00 AM. We ate mostly at Ellis Island (down the strip near Ballys and very reasonable) and the Palms located in the Desert Passage mall - also reasonable - lunch for $6.99.

The sports bar is OK. I didn't check out the betting stations. As far as the bars and clubs, there are better options on and off the strip.

Enjoy your trip.
