Flamingo rooms

Three couples going to Las Vegas the 26th of March. My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many times but the other 2 couples have not stayed here before. In fact the one couple have never been to Vegas before. I was wondering if anyone knew which floor they are on for renevations now, which floors to avoid for construction noise, and how early they start in the mornings. Don't want to ruin the other 2 couples first impression of this hotel. Thanks for your help. 18 more days, but who's counting!

Majong, we will be staying at the Flamingo the same time you are ~ arriving March 24, checking out March 29. I was not aware that they are renovating ~ we stayed there in September, and didn't notice anything then. I'll be interested to see what answers you get on this one!

They are still upgrading some rooms to GO Rooms. I would call the casino to ensure that you are not near one of the floors where construction may be ongoing.

They have been tight with the (free) Go room upgrades. I liked the GO Luxury room much more than I thought I would. It made me change my opinion of Flamingo for the better. If you are getting a comped room you have a chance because check in told me they save the GO rooms for the players. For the first time in Vegas I would pay the extra for a GO room myself. Really like having a HD flat screen TV with DVD player and music in the room.

Free upgrades seem to be a thing of the past at all Harrah's properties unless you are a rated player. They DO offer upgrades for a fee to almost everyone based on availability.

I stayed in a "Jr. Suite" last year and it was nice and a lot of room. It faced the pool/gardens which was nice!

Bedroom was separate which was nice. A very simple suite and nothing too fancy but very spacious. I got this as a FREE upgrade without ever asking - so it was pure luck! (They probably pulled up my reservation and saw all the Spa visits I had booked - who knows!) :)
