NY-NY, Cromwell, Fremont Street, "locals" casinos.

YOnly Casino Royale on the strip has it all the time. Weekdays early others do as well, but real hit and miss. NYNY and Luxor used to advertise 1 table, but havent noticed it lately.

You're not going to find $5 3:2 blackjack on the strip..except weekday mornings at TI. Otherwise it will be 6:5.

El Cortez (downtown) is probably the best because you can get a game with 0.18 house edge (their 3:2 single deck) for $5. There will be other $5 options on Fremont St. as well. Good luck!

3:2 with decent rules at Hooters but its prob not considered "on the strip" It is just out the back door of MGM Grand. You will have to put up with 1970's rec room decor, often slow drink service and players that have no idea of basic strategy but thats prob pretty common at $5 tables. Otherwise, i have seen it at TI in the mornings/early afternoon as was mentioned by Darren.

I've had a lot of fun at Hooters and have had luck. But watch the rules that are posted on their games, some tables limit what you can double-down on. I also 2nd the comment on some of the players having no idea of strategy - that does seems common there!

Who cares if none of the other players have any idea of Basic Strategy ? What possible difference does that make ?

I personally love it when people play their own strategy! Very entertaining, and I don't believe it affects my results over the course of my session.

Split 10's? Go for it! Double on 15? Why not? Stand on 8? If that's what you feel...

I find a table full of people grinding out play according to a Basic Strategy card to be much more dull.

And on-topic, I agree that at these stakes you'll have better success finding a variety of places to play Downtown.
