Alternatives to Olives restaurant

Hi lovely people of TA

I know not everyone is a fan of Olives however it became our last night in Vegas meal tradition. We always had a fabulous time!

I have been told that the restaurant is closing in January. We fly out to Vegas on 26th February.

Can anyone recommend an equally lovely restaurant with views of the bellagio fountains at a similar price point?

Thanks!

All other options along the lakeside are significantly more expensive than Olives. Prime is regarded as an excellent steakhouse but piles on the pounds both ways!. Your best bet may be Lago, which serves tapas style meals and, although more expensive than Olives, you can control the cost by the amount you eat.

Ive been looking at prime it does look lovely. There’s no prices on the menu to compare which is a little annoying.

A common theme for Vegas menus - no prices showing on their websites. Essentially, you will be comparatively looking at twice the price of Olives for a full meal there.

Don't think they serve a Barnsley Chop, either!

Haha!!! The menu does look lovely though. Have you eaten there and do you rate it?

I second Lagos. We ate there and I don't think the price was too bad. You can Google menus with prices and get a lot of the ones you are looking for MGM Casino hotels seem to be the worst at providing prices.

I’ve eaten at Prime. Really great food but they know how to charge for wine! I think it ended up being somewhere around $170pp inc. tip for two courses and some sides with a couple of glasses of wine each (I drink red, my friend drinks white so no bottle).

That’s about what we paid at olives as we had steak and drinks there too. Looks like prime is gonna be the one :) x

Check across the street at Eiffel Tower Restaurant, or from the street, Mon Ami Gabi. Eiffel has better views, but will be a lower pricepoint that similar Bellagio restaurants. MAG will be a bit lower still.

Giada's has nice views of the fountains and the entire corner, but you need to score a window seat. Very good menu and food.

Hi Dave thanks for your reply we’re planning to do breakfast at MAG. I’ve eaten there before and you’re right it’s lovely. I’ll check out the other restaurant you mention x
