imperial oalace rooms

going to I.P. in october with husband,son,daughter-in-law and 2 children,4 years and 18months!! Have been there before with husband and had strip view,no noise but have read so many reviews about room location I'm worried about where is best place to request. Definitely not over Harrahs! Would like a strip view but it has to be quiet.Front tower, back tower, anybody out there can advise? Thanks

Thanks ATJOE, we found I.P.satisfactory when we were there last in 2001 which is why we booked it but I have read so much bad about it I'm quite worried.Am wondering if we should upgrade- and to what? Any advice gratefully received! Have a really great trip!! Will look for a post on your return.Pattikins

Don't worry.I have stayed at the IP 6 times.I have never had

a problem. If you are a snob you would not like this place.

If you are a normal person, the IP will do just fine.

you need the back tower so that the kids don't stay up with the harrah's band until 3 am every night. are you there for a wedding? I only ask because having an 18 month little one certainly constrains the possibilities on activities... Have fun either which way it is!

thanks Al. We just want to show the family all the sights of Las Vegas that we enjoyed- the lights , the fountains, the Grand Canal etc. I know it's corny but thats what we like- dare I say I'm not interested in gambling!! Just happy to wander up and down and in and out the various "free shows"

Strip view and quiet...lol...

Suggest you reserve a room off-Strip, but within walking distance. Are you open to San Remo or Alexis Park? Both are quieter...and Alexis Park has more of an apartment-like setting.

I just return the end of march and stayed at IP it is a fine place to stay unless you are royalty or a movie star, they are center strip, nice pool area, arcade area, and easy to the monorail for traveling the strip.

The casino area is crowded, checking is not that bad, they have some ajoining rooms you can see if they have any availble, ask for a mountain view if possible. it is beautiful.

The buffets are ok would eat somewhere else though.

can cross over to Harra's in the back by the momorail for a good buffet.

suggest that you start you day out early to see everything will be easier with a stroller to move around. crowds get worse around noon or so.

definatley check into to adjoining rooms will make getting together better.
