Ballys ( March 10-12) Good choice?

Just curious about Ballys. I have never stayed there, and was wondering if this was a decent option for the 2nd weekend in March. It seems like renovations are currently taking place. Any reason anyone can think why this wouldn't be a good option? Just the wife and myself going and wanted to stay somewhere close to the Bellagio.

Thanks,

Benny

Renovation is taking place in the Indigo Tower. Easy to avoid by booking a a Jubilee room

It’s a decent mid-range property. Not a whole lot of pizazz, but a decent choice.

I agree. Of the budget options on that side of the Strip, I think it's a solid choice. If you manage your expectations and don't compare it to the 4 star joints nearby, you'll be fine. I like Ballys because it's easy to score free rooms in the future there and it's a benign, non-offensive place to stay.

Bally's is fine. It's underrated in a lot of ways.

Stayed there several times with no complaints although Im a "mid-range" type. Rooms are pretty large for a basic property. The only thing I do is sleep/shower there and use the pool if in operation. Cant beat the location and its not big enough to get lost in.

It's connected to the Paris so it seems like one place.

Bally's has become my go-to lately because of its great general location.

I also like:

The Jubilee tower rooms quick access to strip.

The proximity to Cromwell, which has become a great place to gamble.

Quick trip to Paris where some of my favorite spots are.

Morning/Afternoon (Bailey's and coffee time) 3-2 lower limit blackjack.

Good drink service everywhere except for the VP by the Keno

Good Starbucks out front (corporate store) and Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken

Have a great trip and enjoy!

The poker room usually has some pretty good action late night. And as above it’s s great location. Those are the two primary reasons it’s a hotel of choice for me.

Poker room...heck yeah...

Tournaments aren't bad for the typical Vegas dailies, and there is some ACTION in the cash games...and I also love that the poker room is so close to the Jubilee elevators!

Agree with all the opinions even though I haven’t stayed there in some time. That’s where I stayed for my first ever trip so it holds a special place. Haven’t been there in years so I just put that on the list the other day for our trip in April to stop by Bally’s and pay my respects.

Jubilee rooms are very nice. Very limited dining choices. There is a small food court downstairs in the very back of the resort, a counter service place (Nosh) and two or three other places. Their Italian restaurant Buca di Beppo, is listed as permanently closed on opentable. No great loss, it was pretty bad. Bally's is connected to Paris, you'll be walking over there for most of your meals.
