Bellagio vs signature at mgm grand

I can get bellagio for $179 a night or sig at mgm grand for $189 a night (plus the $15 a day room fee). I'm leaning towards the bellagio at the moment. I will be there on my own, i want a really nice room, with a big bath tub, decent pools in the hotel, near to good shopping (but more than happy to walk a bit), I'll probably do a bit of gambling, but that budgeted will be limited by the amount of shopping i do.

any wisdom on which to pick based on my criteria?

also while i'm here, where to go out to eat and drink by yourself to have a good time, but not look like a women of a certain occupation

I've never stayed at Bellagio. Stayed alone at Signature (Tower 1) in March and seriously loved it. The sumptuous surroundings were very relaxing. Great big jacuzzi bath and fluffy robes in the room. Wonderfully comfortable bed and sofa. Nicely appointed suite with fabulous spa products. Private pool. Access to MGM pools. As to shopping - I'm not much of a shopper.... the Forums are just a Monorail away.

Both are nice accomodations. I might be tempted to go with Bellagio, because that is a great price for Bellagio, and I've seen cheaper deals for the Signature. However, I understand that Signature does have its own private pool in addition to letting you use the rest of the MGM pools. Bellagio is probably more convenient to shopping.

I wouldn't worry too much about the eating alone thing. Lots of people travel to Vegas by themselves. Unless you are planning on eating at the video poker bars at 3 AM, or approaching single men and asking them if they "want some company", you're not likely to be mistaken for a professional.

Stayed at the Bellagio a couple of times and stayed at the Sig in January.

The Sig has the better room without a doubt.

Bigger, never and includes a small kitchen and a big tv screen, with another small one in the bathroom.

They also have outdoor balconies with most of those rooms.

The Sig has a nice Jacuzzi bath, although the Bellagio has a slightly bigger bath all be it not a Jacuzzi.

Imo the Bellagio has the best pool area/s in Vegas.

The Sig has a private pool with each tower, and you are allowed to use the one at MGM if you choose.

Location wise the B wins by a mile.

You will do more walking if you stay at the Sig thats a cert.

Shopping wise the Bellagio is the best bet.

Lots of shopping closer with Caesars,Aladdin and Venetian closer as well as the Fashionshow mall.

The Bellagio buffet is a lot better than the one at the Sig (MGM)

There are some nice places to eat at both hotels, although if you want fine dining the Bellagio is the better imo.

I have a few photos of both the Bellagio and the Sig rooms if you want to take a look.

Tough call. However, for a female traveling alone, I'd feel more comfortable at Bellagio. And, if for no other reason, I'd choose Bellagio for location alone. Yes you can get the monorail from the Signature, but it can sometimes be a hassle. At Bellagio, everything is either right there in the hotel or a short stroll away and lots to look at on the way! Bellagio has many nice restaurants and scads more right across the way at Caesars and the Forum Shops. The world of Vegas really is right at your finger tips when you are at Bellagio.

No matter what you choose, both are excellent facilities and you'll have a wonderful time! Enjoy Vegas. ;)

I'd have to say Bellagio although I have never been in the Signature and do hear it's a nice place. Overall though Bellagio is much nicer than MGM.

A you stated being a shopper, Bellagio wins this vote. It's all about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The rooms are comparable to eachother, but the Bellagio does not have a jacuzzi tub, but a GREAT and larger soaker (which my wife adores). They also have a GREAT and comfortable pool area. Very convenient to the Forum Shops, Desert Passage and the like.

Don't worry about dining alone. It actually happens a lot in Las Vegas. Take a book or your favorite magazine and ENJOY

Not sure if it will be good for when your trip is scheduled but Signature at MGM is currently offering $159 a night with code "SPFLG".

Ally- Have been to your London many times on my own and had a great time! As others have mentioned, I would choose Bellagio if I was traveling to Vegas alone. I always feel so comfortable there! You will feel safe at all hours on that corner of the Strip, as people are always around! The pool is excellent! This location is best for shopping- Desert Passage or whatever the new name is, Forum Shoppes, and the high end shops at Bellagio. The bathtubs are fabulous. The casino is very nice and has great drink service. You will not be dissapointed with Bellagio. We are taking advantage of that rate in July.

most of the shopping at Bellagio is a rip-off. The shopping at MGM is nice cause they have discount prices for brands like DKNY,Monarchy,Juicy etc. my daughter loved shopping there. the store is called Xclusive they sell men's stuff also.

Hi, I used to live in Vegas, had a professional job (not that profession) and until "I got It" I was solicited all of the time when alone---that stinks, but the way it is. I learned stay away from wearing dresses and nice heels if you are on the strip alone.

Pretty much, as long as you get off the strip you will be okay.

Ferraro`s Italian- Has a great piano bar that plays Sinatra music.

the bar at The Palms Restaurant-Caesar`s Palace- very lively

all of the dueling piano bars

Brew Pub at the Monte Carlo- casual big bar mixed local and tourists

Petrusian Vodka Bar- Bellagio- dressy

The Flair bars-Kokomo`s-Mirage VooDoo Lounge-Rio

For casual, there is a British Pub called Crown and Anchor where

locals and UK people go to do beers and watch football.

If you want to visit and get in nice conversation, make sure and sit at the bar. The locals usually stay off strip but along way to go.

These were the ones I went to alone and always met nice people to visit with.
