Venetian tips

We stayed at the Venetian last year for 5 nights and spent over $1500 upon checkout, lost $2000 in the casino (with a players club card). We received no comps at all (I know we are lowrolling, but come on!!).

We are planning a trip back in August and I called the Venetian to see if they had any promotions, etc and they told me they did not have any discounts at this time.

Is the Venetian pretty stingy in giving anything away or am approaching them the wrong way or what??

Should we look at staying somewhere else or what?

Check your players account on-line at the Venetian Web site to see what your status is. It's a little early for the discounts - my players offers only show thru July. Make sure you are signed up for their email promotions.

it's not how much you lost - but rather what level you play. At V $10 hand BJ won't get much attention - $100 hand will sometimes, more like $200. Did you play table games, VP or slots? if machine play what was your coin-in per day and how many grazie pt do you have? It does seem like you would at least be receiving discounts, not comp rooms, but certainly week-day rates. Check your account online - although you should have gotten the same info when you called. I might call casino marketing - not the hosts at that level - and speak to someone again. Once you arrive and if your level of play warrants speak to a host.

I play less than that at Orleans and South point, and get Buy one night, get the second night free offer from them all the time.

On our harrah's total reward card, my wife and I spend almost as you did 2 or 3 times a year, and get 3 Free nights offer all the time.

maybe you should switch casinos

When I called they said I was logged for $22 a hand at the BJ tables, but only logged for 5 hours of playing. That has to be wrong--I mean, we were there 5 days and went to the casino every night....

Send them an email or snail mail.. The Venetian has always addressed me via phone to accomdate me. I've learned to keep it brief and to the point and they have contacted me quickly.

Thanks! I think I will. Do you think at $22 a hand I should at least get a discount?

Venetian was one of my favorites (for staying, but not gambling), but I just don't get jack from them... I understand they would prefer I hit slots for 10 hours and put through $300... Well, I let it fly on roulette at about $500 a spin spread around... Most times it goes pretty quick and they make off with about $2K-$3K in 10-20 minutes... no real biggy, but I don't get rated for CRAP or get crap... and yes, I have sat for several hours laying out $100-$200 spin on the inside numbers, continually feeding more money to them, and I think I had $0.13 comps last I checked...

Same play at other places keeps me in "free" rooms anytime I need. Even much lower play at Flamingo keeps me comped at any Harrahs location whenever I need, but I have not stayed at Venetian in two years and don't plan to again... Visited last week and stiopped by with some friends, hit the sportsbook and made some quick $$$, then got suckered into the euro-wheel single zero wheel... Dropped $2000 in four spins, (and I hit a number on the second spin, or it would have been worse...) Checked later that day to see if it even registered I had been there... Worst player program anywhere...

Maybe my fault for not seeking out a host or being more loyal, but I tried for a long time, and I just can't stomach giving them my money anymore...
