Anyone pack water, alcohol or coffeemaker??

I'm considering bringing all of the above. Last trip I hated running to Starbucks, I want to enjoy my coffee in my jammies every morning and not have to travel 10 minutes to get it.

Does anyone pack water, or alcohol or am I just being CHEAP!!??? I'd like to take along a couple Marg Mixes unless you tell me they will be a problem in the suitcase. Will they explode, that would be a mess??!!

Does anyone pack a beach towel for the pool???

Hmmm never have packed a coffee maker...If you are flying..that is nuts...If we drive we take a cooler with water and beer. If we fly we do not. You can get water cheap in vegas...alcohol is plentiful if you are playing slots or table games. I have read of people bringing so many things that they really do not need. Keep it simple..and they do supply the towels for the pool..Slotto

We always bring a travel coffee-pot.......this is to prevent having to walk all the way down and thru the casino to get coffee. I practically have to have coffee as soon as my eyes open......I don't like to put clothes on and go get coffee. I have a little 5 cup plastic travel pot...got it at Target for @ $10.00....which is cheaper than a pot brought roomservice &/or 2 Starbucks. It is plastic, doesn't take up room......I put a sandwich bag INSIDE the coffee pot full of sugar and sweet-n-low......and we bring the coffee that is already in the filters....works like a charm! I can't speak for the alcohol or water......

As far as a coffeemaker, I think that is nuts, but if you really need coffee in the morning, then go for it. Water - there are places to buy water (at normal prices). For alcohol - just go down to the casino and get a drink while gambling - $1 tip to the waitress -thats pretty cheap to me? ! I wouldn't pack a towel either since they'll give you towels at the pool.

Where are you staying? That's why I like TI, there is a starbucks just downstairs or the krispy creame for coffee & it's not a trek from the elevators to get to either. Or the starbucks next door at the fashion mall while waiting on their 1/2 price tickets line.

We do pack a small coffee maker and Baileys to get us going in the morning. It is vacation after all, and we like sitting around enjoying it in our jammies without running downstairs.

We have also been known to throw a bottle of Captain or vodka in our luggage to have in the room. Always wrap it up well in plastic and have never had a problem with it leaking.

If we are staying somewhere we know there is a liquor store nearby, we do usually not pack it and just grab a bottle, mixers, water, etc. But like I said, depends on if we know what it close to us or not. We are not big gambers, so don't rely on the free drinks.

I'm with you, I love to sit in bed with my coffee in the morning. We are staying at the Orleans in June which has an in room coffee maker, otherwise I would certainly take one with me.

As for water and alcohol, you could always swing by the grocery store when you arrive on the way to your hotel if you are renting a car. Otherwise, I think there are plenty of stores on the strip where you can purchase alcohol and a small cooler to keep in your room.

Have fun!

When I'm going to a place where the alcohol is cheap (St. Thomas K-Mart 1.75 liter bottle of Crown Royal $21.99, same bottle at Costco $39.99) I'll bring back a few bottles. But to bring alcohol to Las Vegas when they give it away while you're gambling, not smart IMO. Plenty of places here to get your booze cheaply.

Walgreens has $10 coffee makers. Packing water? Why?? They sell it here. Why risk having it break open in your luggage.

If you do decide to bring alcohol or water, put it in yourr checked luggage, you can't bring more than 3.5 ounces in your carry on.

I always pack a coffeemaker (2 cup) and coffee supplies. I want my coffee before I even look in the mirror in the AM, let alone getting dressed and going downstairs. I did pack water one trip also, but ended up being overweight in baggage and having to shuffle contents. Now we just run to Walgreens or CVS and pick up water and snacks.

We bring a hot pot with the pre-packed filter coffee--like everyone said, love having coffee in jammies! Just a little tidbit that I have used ever since reading it in a travel magazine: when flying, bring an empty water bottle through security. Afterwards, before boarding plane fill it at drinking fountain! Love this idea!
