I have heard that the Rio has a mock Brazilian Carnival every few hours...is it worth the time? thanks in advance.
I guess it all depends on the person. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I would not make a special trip just to see it. It would be fine if you were already there to gamble, eat, etc. Do not expect anything like a Brazilian Carnival- just some dancing and singing and floats hanging from the ceiling. And they throw out beads.
We enjoyed it! Different from the typical casino atmosphere but a word of warning...we were there in December and my husband was playing an end slot maching. When the show starts, the music gets very loud and being our first time there we were watching the floats moving around the ceiling and someone cashed out his machine while we were distracted. Yup...that quick! It was only $60.00 but he was beyond angry! The attendant told us that it happens often. A few minutes later...I won $1035.00 on a penny slot machine. He was happier after that! We will definately go back, may even stay there next time but will be more cautious!
I agree, there is no reason to make a special trip for it.
if you plan on going go at night the later the show the better because there are more people invold in the show
