Is LV Hilton realy that bad?

...as the reviews on this site says, what about the Superior/Premium rooms, the can't be that bad, can they?

The are resonable priced, compared to what you pay, how are they?

For me, the big drawback of the Hilton is the location - it's not really on the Strip and only convenient to the monorail. Otherwise, I like the place.

A buddy of mine has been staying there lately because of great rates (not casino rates) and he has had no problems at all. He has stayed there four times in the last six months and is going back again.

Route66, For example compared to the West Wing rooms at MGM, De Luxe king @ South Point etc.

Stratton, is the monorail that convinient as it looks like or to you have trek great distant from the monorailstation, I don't mind walking as long is it safe and not more than 10-15 minutes.

LVDragon, they do offer som nice rates, 181$ for a premium room inkl 2 Spa admissions, and 50$ dining credit, tempting I might say, thinking about booking 2 adjoining booking for 4 days in September (you can only book the offer as a 2 nighter.

Hilton is fine compared with those two.

Rooms are much nicer at SP but its REALLY far out.

MGM is just a mess and not worth the hassle of finding your way around.

I like the place, but you need to know the limitations. For a first-time visit to Las Vegas it wouldn't be my recommendation for most people, due primarily to location.

For people that have already been to LV before it's a good basic property. I like the Video Poker there and the overall casual feel of the place.

As for the reviews? Consider some of them, like the one person who complained because the hotel "wasn't as nice as a Ritz-Carlton", (hello??) and the guy who griped and gave it a "1" because Barry Manilow didn't play "Copacabana" at his show. Really.

Well, in the past I would not consider it (without having seen the rooms) because of the location. I have been to Vegas 5 times now and wouldn't mind staying there if the price was right and I had a nice amount of time in Vegas to make up for things like travel time.

That said, I was presently surprised when I went there for the first time in June to see Menopause the Musical. It was kinda cook in there and Star Trekky. Plus, SUPER convenient with Monorail, which I think only runs till midnight. But, you can get right on the Monorail and take a stop at Bally's or MGM for sight seeing and visiting other properties.

We stayed there in April and will be staying again at the end of August. I found the rooms fairly large, really comfortable beds and

they have a nice choice of restaurants. The monorail is very easy to get to. If you do any decent amount of gambling, and believe me I'm

not a anything close to a high roller, you will get tons of offers, some free like the one I'm using in August for 4days/3 nights with $25 slot cash, or some for tournaments for just $99 for 4days/3nights. You really can't beat it!

The Hilton Monorail stop is right next to the front door, maybe 30 seconds away.
