Andre's (downtown), Alize(Palms), Hugo's Cellar or Rosemary's. All off strip but they all are worth going to. Great food and great service. You can't go wrong with any of them for a special meal.

Wow - you've managed to surprise him 30 times to Vegas? ;-)

A lot depends on what he likes - you like, your budget. There are so many choices. What are you looking to spend...what kind of food do you want? Are you looking for all out romance or just casual dining. One man's special is another mans' "eh"

Give some more details and people here will have a wealth of somewhat useful tips for you

daisy -- true

what does your husband like?

There are tons a places to suggest ...give us a direction.

Agree with previous post.. My husband is a meat and potatos man... who loves french food.. no foo-foo meals at all for him!

Voodoo Steak at the Rio was really good. the views were amazing. it is about a $4 taxi fare from the side entrance of the bellagio.

Delmonicos is my hubby's all time favorite steak house. at the venetian. decor is very romantic..lots of stone and wood decor. big leather seats.

If I was to suprise my husband, in all seriousness. these would be my three choice

1) Ellis Island --cheap, greasy food, that makes him happy.

2) Bellagio/Wynn Buffet --He can eat. ---plus he loves dessert!!!

3) Delmonicos. -- just because it is his favorite and he LOVES The Banana cream pie!

Now if he wanted to suprise me.. .hopefully he would pick

Fluer de Lys -- at Venetian - I love french food

Michael Mina. Bellagio -- lobster pot pie is to die for ($75 entree)

Alex --- because last time I went it was with work and would like to experience it with the one I love.

"Lobster POT PIE is to die for ($75 entree)"

It WOULD probably kill me if I paid that kind of money for a stinkin POT PIE...

Not sure what price range you are looking for...We like to eat at FIX at Bellagio. The food is very good and you look out into the casino from the lounge or restaurant. We also love Mon Ami Gabi at Paris and always sit out on the patio (no reservations for outside). I love having a bottle of wine and meals at Mon Ami Gabi as I watch the Bellagio fountains.

Daisy:

Like the other posting I would suggest the Voodoo Lounge and Cafe. We had a great romantic dinner, with an incredible view. The food was very nicely prepared and I thought the staff were attentive. You can see the menu on Harrahs.com at the Rio Hotel.

Make sure you go around 6:30 or so, so you can get a great table w/ a view of the strip or the mountains and then the change to dusk and then nightfall.
