It is an easy and quick walk..

and I have never felt unsafe, even dodging the broken glass, sleazy tatoo parlor, a few grungy guys, in the first block. Then you are at Sahara Ave, where waiting at the 2 street crossings is the hardest part

My opinion would be, no problem during the day, dodgy at night. It isn't far but there is not much foot traffic with other tourists around , and less police presence than on the main area of the strip. I would avoid walking the area late at night and early, early am.

This is just my opinion.

I agree with Shrinkgirl, during the day I would walk to Stratosphere, which I have done many times. I would not walk there when dark.

You can take the deuce at night between hotels.

As long as stay on Las Vegas Blvd (the strip), you are relatively safer than back side of Stratosphere (names after other cities:cincinnati, baltimore, cleveland, boston, chicago etc.) especially late night & early AM as previous poster mentioned.

Criminals tend to seek opportunity when there are less people, lights & traffic.

Yep....agree with the other posters. We were with another couple and walked it at night and wasn't scared but don't think we'd do that again. Daytime is not a problem.
