I am going to Vegas in late Dec. with 2 20 yr. olds,

my daughter's boyfriend, and another friend--we are in our 40's. I want to stay on the strip probably a suite that we can all stay in. What shows are recommended as the top 2 or 3?? Where to eat?? I don't want to drive around--is shopping close by?? Favorite dessert places?? Can 20 year olds go into casinos if they don't gamble??

As far as them going into casinos, they can walk thru but cannot stop!!! They will ID them and make them keep moving.

There is a lot of shopping on the strip such as the Forum Shops at Ceasers, Miracle Mile at PH and The Fashion Show Mall next to TI. As far as eats there is a place for every food and price range more information may get you a clearer answer.

Also, they are not allowed in bars, even if they don't drink.

There is quite a bit of shopping around the strip...Fashion Show Mall, Caesars Forum Shops, etc.

As for shows.....Mystere is a great Cirque de Soleil show!! Spamalot is also very funny and a lot of fun.

IMHO....I think it would be torture to be 20 and in Vegas....so close to gambling and drinking, but not allowed to do it. They will have to keep walking through the casinos if they are not 21...no stopping and hanging out.

Being in vegas and being under 21 is a torture.

You see all the gamblings, the booz, the bars and clubs, and you can't do any of them.

It's like taking some kids to Disney Land and not letting them to get onto the rides!!!

Good Luck

Wouldn't want to be you, wouldn't want to be them. Also, I suggest two rooms. Suites will cost WAY WAY WAY more than two rooms and unless the suite had two bathrooms, with two showers, you will be battling to use the facilities and/or get ready for the day.

Lots of REALLY great places to eat, and you don't even have to plan it that much. Just wander, take it in, and see what looks good. You could look up fun places based on style of dining.

Lots of shopping at Caesar's Palace, Planet Hollywood (Miracle Mile) Fashion Show Mall, Bellagio, etc. You can walk or use the monorail or cabs, of course.

Under 21 year olds can only shop, see shows, and enjoy the outdoor sights.

someone said this

not true - depends on the 20 yr old. 2 of our children live in europe - on a recent trip to LV they brought a group of friends - 3 married couples and four 20 yr olds (children of the couples). They had a blast. Not everyone in LV wants to gamble and drink. They spent days at the pool , playing golf and sightseeing, evenings fine dining and shows. It's all about personal chocie - many over 21 don't drink and gamble and visit clubs.

we won't be drinking or gambling. We want to enjoy the city, go shopping, see shows. I have heard that "O" is great. I am not sure what else to see.

Mamma Mia and Mystere are my two favorite shows in Vegas - we saw O and were not as impressed as we were with Mystere. For shoppping, check the mall in Planet Hollywood - it has some great shops!
