Gigantic Wheel of Fortune

Hi all,

I was watching a History Channel Las Vegas doc earlier today and it showed a brief clip of a casino with an absolutely huge wheel of fortune, shaped like a jet engine.

Does anyone know where this was located, or indeed if it still exists?

Bit of a long shot I know, given the vague details, but grateful for any replies.

There was one at Red Rock when we visited a year ago.

They have them in quite a few casinos now. I know the Flamingo has one. But good luck getting a seat at one!!

They are everywhere. Most started out as pennies and now are nickels. The ones downtown are still pennies as was the one at Billys in June. You have to play all the lines to activate the bonus and can choose 1x pay and up.

Are you talking about the big one where everyone sits around it to play ? If so, there are many Downtown- one in the Fitz and one in the Fremont I believe, also one in El Cortez near the hotel registration area. I don't think you'll have trouble finding one- there are probably many on the Strip as well- Downtown they are usually right inside the door wheer they can easily attract your attention.

I never thought of them as resembling a jet engine, but I guess they are turbine like in shape!

Yes, I'm talking about the wheel with the table at the front that has to be physically spun by the operator, not the slots version.

I'm familiar with the regular sized ones at most casino's, and was playing the one at Bill's a few weeks ago.

But the one I saw on the documentary was enormous - far bigger than normal. Each notch was a huge dollar bill (each as big as the operator). It was meant to look like either a jet turbine engine or a huge wheel hub.

They are HUGE money suckers!!!! The most I've ever seen anyone win on one is the $50, and the women said she'd pumped about $100 in it so don't think it is a very good game. IMHO

They are at all the Harrah's casinos I'm sure and have seen them at the other places that have been mentioned above.

They have one at the Borgata in AC. In March, a woman hit the nickle version for over 2 million. I think they have them at all the casinos in AC as well.
