nickel & penny slot survey

I need something to read to pass the time. I am so excited :)

Only 2 more days!!!

If you play nickels and pennies - do you play all lines or just some, and do you play one credit or more than one.

Last time at my local place on a nickel machine I saw several people playing 5 x 5c but only on 5 lines, not all 9. I thought that was odd.

Also - what is your favorite nickel and penny slot? I love WOF special edition with the pointers (where you hopefully get lots of letters on the puzzle at the bonus round) and also goldfish. I tried a new one (new to me) I think was called hot shot last time at my local place and it was lots of fun. Had to get 3 or more hot shot symbols. Is that one in Vegas?

Just wondering!

Thanks for your help! :)

Okay, now that you get excited so easily, I'll answer and make you even more excited.

I play the maximum lines (usually 20 or 25 lines), and unless I am broke, never play with 1 cents. My minimum is 2 credits, and average is between 3 and 5 credits.

I have seen too many people that play higher credits, but less lines (usually 15). I don't know if its any better or not!!!!

I play all denominations up to $1. I play all lines - starting with two coins (with penny and nickels, one coin for quarters). If it seems like it is a 'good' machine, I bet 2 or 3 coins, if its cold I'll play 1 coin to half my investment (usually start with a $20 bill) and cash out if I'm not having fun i.e. winning anything.

I like anything with free spin bonus rounds, Lighthouse Loot, Slotsky, Aliens (very good to me last trip) and Video Poker - especially 5 hand and multi-strike. I love all forms of WOF except the big wheel where everyone is sitting in a circle - it just eats my money.

One more sleep! I leave tomorrow night on a direct flight from Ottawa - arriving in Vegas at 10 pm local time :-).

I hear ya, the last few days before a trip can be filled with anticipation.

I'm not leaving til Dec 22nd, but time flies especially leading up to xmas!!!

As for slots, I definately bet max on penny machines. I am a very low roller so as the denomination goes up, I still play all the lines, but less per line, depending on my budget. It's really for entertainment...if I win that's just a bonus. Playing all the lines make sense...,you would feel pretty bad if your machine hit and you didn't have the line covered!!!!!

I know alot of people think playing the slots is stupid, but everyone has vices or things they do that others would find stupid, so I just do what I like. Blackjack and other table games can be fun too but you can't win $500 on a $5 bet like you can on a slot. Also, some people make new players feel unwelcome if they are just learning strategy or lack confidence at the blackjack table. That's not fun!!!

I like the sportsbook too...study the horses can be a challenge and picking a winner is very satisfying.

Do I have a problem.....lol

Always play all the lines, and close to max bet, but usually not max bet except on Goldfish, which is max only $1.50 on penney machines. Favorites are:

Cashman

Goldfish

WOF

Coyote Moon

I do play pennies.

My favorite machine recently is carnival of mystery and Texas Tina.

If my bankroll supports it i play max lines and max ave hit some good wins, but also had some big losses.

Someone posted this site last May:

americancasinoguide.com/SlotPayback/slotinfo…

interesting info on % payout by machine denomination, by area not casino.

Someone had posted a site with average machine payout by casino but cannot locate that post.
