Treasure Island vs. NYNY

I have booked a room at TI for January, but I have noticed a lot of negative comments from people on this forum about the overall customer service there at TI. From rude comments from Bellmen to being ignored in bar and lounges. I got a very good offer for the Broadway Deluxe at NY NY and was wondering how that compares to TI. We have a strip view room booked there and I think the Braodway Deluxe at NYNY would be the same size room. I realize the location at NYNY isn't as good as TI, but customer service is the most important thing to me.

I haven't stayed at NYNY, but I'd like to comment about the service at TI. When we stayed there, we really didn't have any major problems. There were a couple little things that popped up, but the staff handled them satisfactorily for us and no one treated us rudely. Keep in mind that you are most likely to hear about the bad things that happen.

As far as location goes, NYNY is not a bad location. It's a fun casino. There are good dining selections and entertainment choices in the area. IMO TI is a bit far north to make it a prime location either.

So . . . perhaps not much help here . . . but wanted to share my opinions.

I have also stayed and both and I think TIs rooms are much better.

As far as customer service, take it with a grain of salt. People normally only tell the bad and do not comment on the good. I have never had anyone be rude to me at TI.

When you check in at TI ask for a room as high up as possible with strip view on the pool side of the building you will not be dissappointed.

I have also stayed at both (a few times) and I can't decide which is best. They both offer an awesome night life, great food, good shows and I have never had a bad customer service experience in either one. I would suggest going to both of their websites and comparing what interests you more, if anything, they are both a short cab ride away from one another... TI can be exotic and sexy with places like Tangerine and Mist, or more casual at the ever popular Kahunaville. NYNY is more of a casual party, you will see more people strolling around in blue jeans here. NYNY is blessed with great interactive bars like Coyote Ugle, The Big Apple Bar and Bar at Times Square, its very easy to befriend a group of people at these bars or find yourself partying with the whole place! Either way, you can't go wrong.... Have Fun!

We liked TI the best, especially the rooms. We have always been treated very well there. The slots were really tight when we were there but there are alot of other casinos to gamble in. Overall, I think you would be very happy at TI.

I have stayed at both and I perfer TI. THe rooms are nicer. I had great service when I stayed at TI. I never had a problem. I think TI's location is very good as well. Veneitan and Wynn are within 5 minutes. Mirage is a tram ride away. Great location. NYNY is only near MGM. The good thing about cabs at NYNY is you can get to Bellagio's side door ffairly fast. NYNY- the rooms are smaller than TI as well. I would go with TI.

never stayed at either, but hear tons of ppl saying how they HATE nyny, cant remember hearing anything really bad about TI. TI slots seem a lot tighter to me than nyny tho.

I haven't stayed at either but have been to both. I don't think TI's location is any better than NYNY, but maybe it's because I like the south end of the strip. I do think that NYNY's casino is a lot of fun. Has a great vibe about it. Lots of dining choices.

I know I am not able to address your specific question, but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth! :)

I have stayed at TI and while I wasn't impressed with the size of the room (especially the bathroom,) I found the service to be great (I usually stay at Bellagio, Wynn, or THEHotel.) TI's rooms definately are a step above those of NYNY, and I had no problems with the service- housekeeping did a good job and reception was friendly and quick (on a saturday afternoon.) Stick with TI, don't let the reviews mess with you.
