Flamingo vs. Westin

Which would you pick for Memorial Day weekend trip: Westin or Flamingo Deluxe Room (not GO room). Flamingo costs a total of $64 more for 3 nights.

Go with the Flamingo, you are in the middle of the action! Great center point for everything!

That's surprising, usually the Westin is higher than the Flamingo. The Westin has a very very small casino. If you want any action, stay elsewhere.

To use an old cliché', you're comparing apples and oranges. The Flamingo is a typical mid range casino-hotel on the strip, with all the bells a whistles. The Westin on the other hand, is first a hotel, then a small scale casino. The vibes in each are totally different. The Westin is great if you want the action of the strip and your hotel separate. The Flamingo is always in the action, with the exception of your room. I like them both. It just depends on your priorities.

Westin is not on the Strip, although it's not far off of it. It's a smaller property, not much in the "glitz" department like your typical Las Vegas resort.

Let's make it unanimous - Flamingo!

Even better, Bill's Gambling Hall next to the Flamingo. I've stayed at both and hands down for me, Bill's.

Hmmm.....well, I'm one of those people who doesn't always play where I stay...and I have stayed at both of these properties.

The casino at the Westin is tiny; however, the walk from the Westin to the Strip is not far at all. I do think the Westin has really nice rooms, and they have the "heavenly beds" which are VERY heavenly and comfortable at the end of a long night! =)

The Flamingo...I have only stayed in a GO room so I can't tell you what the deluxe rooms are like. It does have a great location, and a much larger casino...but again, you could walk here from the Westin in about 10-15 minutes.

Since it's going to be a holiday weekend and things may get crowded, I think I will toss my vote to the Flamingo just so you have a better location to start with.

Memorial Day weekend 100+ temp. If you want to visit the strip, make sure you have a car. Also, the Flamingo has a great pool setup, I don't know about the Westin pool area.

Look at weather.com. Rarely does the temp hit 100 at the end of May. Also what help is a car from the Westin to the strip?? It is a 7 minute walk at best. Where do you park the car? Do you drive from casino to casino.

Huge help winner!
