Bally's or Mirage

Going for a quick trip (2 nights) in April. Want to stay somewhere convenient and nice. Looking at either Bally's or Mirage. Suggestions?

Mirage is a nice hotel with an AWESOME pool. Both have great locations.

I think if it is within your price range definately go with Mirage!

Mirage for sure...Bally's is really run down. Don't even bother going to their casino.

Mirage is quite a bit nicer than Ballys. If you stay at Mirage get a new room, there is no cost difference.

I stayed at Bally's in Jan. & it is not run down. It is very nice, clean & the rooms are a good size With comfy beds & it is connected to Paris through an inside walkway so you have 2 in 1. You can get a view of the Bellagio fountains.

Mirage is dark & gloomy, the rooms are very worn & it is further north on the strip.

You might want to check out the Flamingo for a great central location & great pool, very nice clean room, Margaritaville for some fun, or to grab a bite to eat, or party the night away.

You can check it out on Harrah's website which is

www.harrahs.com click on LV, then hotel, either reservation or hot deals to check out rates & rooms.

Mirage will put you in the heart of things. The Mirage is a better property than Ballys

Mirage is def a step up compared to Ballys. I like their tropical theme. Tell us the max you're willing to pay and we can know better. And the days you'll be there.

I like them both but for diiferent reasons. Bally's is a good "budget" hotel/casino whereas Mirage is more of a resort (lush gardens, great pool, better restaurants, etc). Bally's has probably the best location on the Strip...but Mirage is four-star Bally's is three-star.

Mirage has Paris Hilton dancing the night away in their new jet-setter night club. LOL!

Thanks all for your great feedback! Sounds like the Mirage is ahead in the running. I found a good internet rate at Bally's for $281 for 2 nights total including all taxes (April 10 - 12). Then I found an even better special at Mirage for about $260 total. There is a pretty good website that lists a lot of the special promotions different hotels are running - www.smartervegas.com. Thanks again for all your help.
