Orleans Hotel

Hi There - my wife and myself are staying at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas in April. We have been 9 times before, but this is the first time we are staying at the Orleans Hotel for 2 weeks. We would like to ask if anyone can recommend a room which will be quiet at night.(perhaps overlooking the pool?) We do not necessarily have to face the Strip, and do not want to be too high up. Obviously, we realise that it is busier near lifts etc.

We appreciate any help that you can give.

I think some of the rooms are being remodelled at the Orleans.

We stayed there in December and had an older room, which was fine. Spacious, comfortable. We were on a very high floor (18th I think) and had a fabulous view of the Strip.

I'd really recommend the room service at this hotel. We were there on a busy weekend evening and there were queues for the all the restaurants still open. Room service was very fast, efficient and reasonably priced too!

As it was December, we didn't use the pool. Hope you get to use it in April!

Thanks for all your help. The 18th floor is a bit too high, but if the rooms are quiet a bit lower down, then we could go for a strip view.

Hope you enjoyed your holiday in December.

Pool, we stayed there 16 months ago, loved it,,,never heard of any noisy rooms,,,we were on floor 20 with a strip view,,,,you are a mile or so from ths strip, so its quiet,.,

Great hotel and casino, very non-smoky and nice employees. try the steak place, its excellent, also the shuttle to the strip is good, just tip the nice driver a dollar or so each trip.

lovely rooms,,,larger than strip hotels...you will love it

I stayed at the Orleans and I did not hear any noise while in my room.

But, the quiet part of any hotel should be at the end of the hall since less people will be walking by your room. But, as you know the hallways in Vegas can be pretty long.

I didn't hear any noise from outside (meaning street noise) our room faced the strip.

I like the new wing better for the rooms. I like the original wing better for a view of the mountains.

Pick your view, then tell them you want the side that overlooks the pool.

If you pick the original wing, and choose floor 10 or 11 and above, you will see the pool (no closeup) AND the moutains.

Lower floors that 10 or 11 will get you a better view of the pool activities, but the parking garage will impede your view of the mountains.

Have fun!

Thanks Guys for your help. Does the new wing have better rooms, or are they all the same? Ithink we need to book rooms 15th floor or lower as my wife does not like to be too high up. We visited the Orleans last year and we were so impressed with it that we decided to stay there this year for a change.

Again - thanks for your assistance.

Pool, the rooms in the new wing are the same size and layout as the original wing, but the furnishings are better and more updated.

If you pick the NEW wing overlooking the pool, you can look to the left to see the closest mountains, and you'll see the mountains to the north dead on.

If you pick the ORIGINAL wing overlooking the pool, you'll only see the mountains from about floor 10 and up.

Floors ten and below will get a nice view of the pool, but the mountains impeded by the parking garage and the Orleans arena.

If you have any more questions, I'd be gladd to assist any way I can.
