Airport Shuttle

I read somewhere that there is an airport shuttle that will bring you to the strip hotels for $5.00 per person. Does anybody use this service as opposed to taxis or limos.

Yes, we have used it once. It was fine, no problem. I guess it depends how many are in your party, if the taxi line is real long, if you want to save money, etc. We usually rent a car because we take day trips, but the shuttle was no problem at all when we took it.

There are many shuttles that will take you to your hotel. Here is a list -although I don't know how current the prices are:

Many people do not like to use the shuttles because many times you have to wait until the shuttle fills up with passengers and then other passengers may be dropped off first. It can take a while to get to your hotel. Most people want to start their vacation as soon as possible and not take a tour of the back part of other hotels.

There also have been reports of people who wanted to take a shuttle back to the airport. The shuttle either didn't arrive on time or didn't arrive at all.

The cab line might seem long but it usually moves quickly. Depending on where you are going and how many people you are talking about- a cab might be quicker and cheaper than the shuttle-or only slightly more.

NO, Nooooooooooooo !!

Never, ever take a shuttle to or from the airport. Ever. It is rare that you save money, but even if a cab was double or triple, it would be worth it.

I've always taken the shuttles - it's fun to get a little bit of a tour of the strip / hotels prior to arriving at your hotel.

I always take the shuttle too. It cost more than five dollars though. I usually get a round trip and they will pick me up for the return trip. Never had any problems and since I usually go to Vegas alone it's cheaper.

Strip shuttles from McCarran...$6.50-$7.00, one-way.

Two or more in your party, take a cab.

I always request a limo from the hotel that I am staying at.

$45.00 for the Las Vegas Hilton as an example.

If you are going to gamble at the htoel/casino where you are staying it may well be comped. Ask for it! Ask for room ugrade as well. But do this through casino services or VIP services, not through the hotel desk as they don't, and cannot, offer "those deals"...

You're on vacation. Treat yourself!

It really is nice to find someone at baggage holding a sign up with your name and not standing in any lines at all...

Guys, send your wife/GF off to have a spa experience, facial/massage,etc. She will love you for that surprise...
