Things I learned on my second trip...

This was going to be a trip report, but it got way too long so I decided to condense it to simply what I liked and would do again, and what I've crossed off the list for next time.

We were in town 4/24-27

Things I liked:

Binion's Ranch Steak house- Good food, great service, unbelievable view. Used the ACG 2 for 1.

Craps- Never done it before, it was fun, probably my new game of choice.

Bill's Gamblin' Hall- It's just big enough and just small enough, just nice enough and just dumpy enough, I feel like goldilocks.

Bellagio Fountains- Awesome as always

Bellagio Conservatory- Beautiful

Carnival court- saw a fun band had a great time

Things I've crossed off:

Deuce bus at night- way too SLOW

Blush at the Wynn-How can a place be both crowded and boring?

Buffets in general- Tried La Village Buffet at Paris, it was just OK, I'm still just not a buffet person. I don't know why I tried again, but I know I'm done.

The Westin Casuarina- Got it through Priceline, shouldn't complain, but it's the most boring place on earth.

There are a lot of casinos that I visited that I don't need to see again- Hard Rock, Paris, Hooters, Tropicana, Wynn, Caesers (I hated Caesers- It feels like walking through 150 additions)

One more hint: We got tickets to Folies Bergere (2 for 1 when you get the trop players card) and thought it would be good to be as close as possible. We got seats at the tables right in front of the stage, and spent the whole show looking over my left shoulder. A booth would have been bettter.

Lots of stuff left for the next trip, after we bring the kids...to Disney World.

Hmm..sound like you had some fun. I hate sitting so close you have to see a Chiropractor when you get home. But isn't it a fun city! omg Disneyworld...done with that..Slotto!

Bill's is one of my favorite strip hotels.

Fun format for a trip report. Got Westin on priceline once too, but we liked it quite a lot. Funny how we all vary in our likes and dislikes. They are too expensive off of Priceline, I think, so its a good thing they get business through PL.

My kids are 16,8,and 4 (each half as old as the one before...huh)

I have decided that most children in Las Vegas have a sort of synergy of bad times about them. The kids aren't having a good time, the parents aren't having a good time, and anyone within line of sight or earshot is having less of a good time.

Before anyone starts griping about roller coasters and ice creams or clowns or pools or WHATEVER, the children of whom I speak are the under 6 years old and after 1am kids. I'm sure your kids have a great time in vegas, I'm sure your kids don't bug anyone, and I'm sure your kids normally stay up that late and see ladies of the night and drunks all the time, mine don't, so they stay home.

Hey Javarai, I liked the room, the pool, and the lobby. The Westin was nice as a hotel, but I didn't like the casino and the one restaurant didn't appeal to me. If you want low key this is THE place to be, sometimes I liked how quiet it was, other times it was eerie.

If you want GOOD Westin Casuarina, the one in Grand Cayman is awesome ;)

Sounds like a great trip! I also have a list of casinos that I know I won't visit again unless I am playing tour guide for friends. Like you- I don't enjoy buffets anymore and I avoid them. Thanks for taking the time to write the TR.
