An unexpected and free trip to Vegas

Day after tomorrow I begin my planned vacation at the beach for a week (already paid for). Unfortunately, husband recently found that he won't be able to join me since he has to go to Vegas for three weeks on the job! So, the Thursday after my vacation I'll fly out there for 4 days on a free ticket (I volunteered a bump from a flight during my last business trip) and will stay with him at the Residence Inn Hughes. Thank God I get 5 weeks vacation a year! It's only four days but it's free and Vegas and time for just the two of us.

Lucky you! Not only do you get to go to the beach, but you leave from there to go to Vegas. Sounds SUPER!!!

OK, so the timing is a bit unfortunate . . . but hey . . . a free trip to Vegas is a free trip to Vegas.

Does your husband's absence ruin your beach vacation? Or can you take a friend with you instead?

Enjoy your vacations . . . and yes, 5 weeks is a nice benefit!

Naw, the annual beach thing is a time for sisters and family stuff and he's not really a beach person and rarely spends the whole week. I figure it's the best of both worlds!! We always have much much more fun the two of us in Vegas compared to being with many at the beach.
