Welllll....I am not sure how exciting it is (I don't get very excited around sharks other than watching out for them), but it is worth a visit! IMHO

It is pretty cool. At the end, you sometimes get to pet a baby shark.

I guess I am in the minority on this one! I thought it was definitely not worth the price of admission. It is rather small, expensive and certainly not exciting IMHO. If you have ever been to an aquarium of any decent size (and surely you have since you live in NYC) you might be very disappointed. I was!

I'm with VP03 on this one.

It was okay but didn't really get a bang for our buck, perhaps its because we have been to Seaworld several times and it also depends on your level of "sea" interest.

my husband and i loved it, as did friends of ours that visited.

i agree with other posters that it depends on your level of interest going in.

we love that kind of stuff, we watch nature shows all the time etc... so for us, it was a nice way to spend a bit of time.

and although it's not "cheap" by some people's standards, we felt that we'd easily spend far more money than our admission price if we had spent our time in the casino instead of the shark reef.
