I took a taxi there ($12.35 from Excalibur)

Got the bus back ($2.50.approx 30 minute ride)

The bus stops close to the Gun store both ways.

I fired a M16 machine gun with 50 rounds.

It cost a total of $52.00.

Its expensive, and only last a short time.

But its a good experience, and worth doing once.

Bus was the number 201.

The bus stop where you get off is on the same side of the street as the Gun store, just 50 or so paces away to your left.

You can get off the stop before the MGMGrand,or wait for the next stop which is right in front of the NYNY side entrance.

As i said i got a taxi there.

But if you get the bus there,it stops over the road from the Gun store, about 100 steps or so from the entrance to your right.

I did this in August of 2006.

So i am assuming everything is still the same.

John.

Forget to say it was a straight run.

There's another place that comes highly recommended:

www.lasvegasgunrange.net

Shooting an automatic firearm uses up rounds quickly even in 3 second bursts and ammo isn't cheap.

Shooting a pistol, either revolver or automatic loader (semi-automatic action) is fun and you can space your shots and go for accuracy. Smith and Wesson makes very good sidearms.

You can shoot a machinegun for $35 with a discount ticket from their website. You get the gun, ammo, ear protection and eyes for this cost. I've done it several times. Great fun.
