Downtown Daytime

Hi all

My girlfriend and I will be in Vegas for 8 nights in late November. We are planning on staying at a couple of hotels, one of which will probably be downtown.

I’ve been to downtown before and I love it but I’ve always stayed in strip hotels. My question is, is there much (aside from gambling) to do in the daytime in the downtown area? I’ve been searching the net but I can’t find much apart from the jerky shop!!.

Ty for your help

Mike

When I stayed downtown for a week earlier this year, I just browsed all the gift shops and different vendors and looked in each casino. The strip has much more to do during the day if you do not want to gamble. I am pretty sure that the Las Vegas Springs Reserve is not too far from downtown, maybe you could go there during the day. This is the website:

You could also go to the boneyard to see all the old signs.

I am not sure if you just meet on Fremont Street, or how this works. You could try a search on this.

There is an outlet mall close to downtown if you are into shopping.

Hi

We stayed downtown for the first time this year, loved it but we were there in good weather, so pool time (golden nugget). Daytime is best for going to the strip, after checking out casino's and shops.

We always stay downtown and spend most afternoons in the sportsbook, relaxing at the pool, and taking advantage of $3 blackjack and craps games.

No, not much to do at all.

Pool, gamble and drink. You want something to do your going to have to leave the Downtown area.

Not a whole lot to see and do other than gamble and eat. And to me, that's the whole point of staying in Downtown! If all you want to do is just gamble everyday, eat, drink, eat some more, relax, watch sports, eat some more, do nothing, then Downtown is the place! That's what we used to do when I would go to Vegas with my buddies. But when I go with the wife, then we have to stay on the Strip because she wants to do all the usual "Strip stuff".....checking out the hotels, shopping, go to nice restaurants, etc.

Downtown? You won't have a chance to dodge baby strollers, porn slappers and other pests you'll encounter on the Strip.

Hey, nothing to do but gamble and party ain't bad.
