Day without the husband

Hi,

We're off to Vegas next week and I have a day without the Hubby. I've already got a 2:00 booking at Canyon Ranch but I'm looking for other things to fill the day. The only place I can see shopping is the outlet center and I don't want to go all the way down there when I need to be a the Venetian in the afternoon. Can anyone recommend anything between Aladdin and the Venetian?

Try the Forum Shops at Caesars! I really can't afford a lot of the shops there (Gucci, Versace, etc.), but it's GREAT for window-shopping and people-watching. There are several nice restaurants there too.

BethG2 - Forum shops, and there's the Fashion Show Mall on the strip, and it's across from the Venetian.

Oops, I should have been clearer. Things besides shopping would be great too! Thanks.

What kinds of things do you like to do? Are there things you would want to "save" to do with your husband? There are so many options it's hard to know where to start.

I have to second the Fashion Show suggestion if you are interested in reasonably affordable shopping.

A few other thoughts, off the top-

Gamble

Take a craps, poker, blackjack, etc. lesson at one of the casinos

See the Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo

Sunbath/swim

See the art gallery, concervatory & cholocate shop at Bellagio

Visit the Secret Garden at the Mirage

If it were me I would spend the entire day at Canyon Ranch!! Facial, massage, manicure, pedicure! Before the appointment I would sleep late and then enjoy room service!

Eat a decedent dessert. There is a shop at Wynn's shopping area the looks really good. How about the Tea at Belligio after your Spa? Treat yourself to a wonderful, indulegent lunch at a high end restaurant. Go play at one of the make-up places. Try out all the perfume at Sephora (or how ever you spell it). Sit a read a book and have a coffee at the venetian piazza.

agree with gabbygambler.....I would wake up late possibly order room service and then hit the spa. Treat yourself to a relaxing day at the spa.

gabby

Your idea of sleeping late is:

6:35 am

6:45 am

7:05 am

You are one party animal!

Duh, Unca Mike, got ya this time. I live in London half of the year, it is 8 time zones ahead of Vegas and I have been in the UK for a month now. No way in h would I be online at 6 anything in the AM in any time zone I happen to be in unless I was up early to catch a flight somewhere.

when my hubby and I head to Vegas (every year) we always have an "alone" day cuz we both have some things that we like to see/do that the other doesn't.

Usually I take a cab to (don't laugh ) Target - because we don't have them here in Canada and I LOVE a bargain! Then I cab it back to Caesar's where I tour the Forum Shops, stopping for a latte at a little coffee place by the Calloway golf shop. Then I walk over to the Bellagio, stroll the shops there, check out the conservatory and head to the tram which takes me to my favorite casino, the Monte Carlo. I usually fill the rest of my day playing my favorite slots and sipping on Vodka Collins' for the afternoon.

We tend to set a "meeting time" of 4 or 5 pm.

Whatever you decide, enjoy yourself, and remember to treat yourself too (which you are no doubt doing by going to Canyon Ranch)
