Centrally located hotel with children???

We are travelling to Vegas for our first trip the first week in April, we will have our 2 daughters, ages 9 and 12 yrs old with us as well and need a clean, well maintained place to stay that is centrally located so we can walk to most everything with our daughters. Can anyone make suggestions or personal recommendations as to a nice place to stay for about 7 nights with children, location and well kept/updated are the two main concerns for us.....many thanks for any help.

At the Flamingo there is a Hilton Grand Vacations, this timeshare might be perfect as the one bedroom suites available on Hotels.com have a seperate living room. If the couch doesn't convert into a bed you can always order a rollaway bed.

Centrally located to what? The other casinos? Where will you be taking your children in Vegas? Also an idea of your budget will help for suggestions as well.

I think the kids may be bored to death from walking for more than 3 days. Yes there are things for your daughters to do. but not for seven days. also, the first week in april may not be pool weather.

i guess i should have said centrally located on the strip as opposed to being way at one end or the other. have had others with kids tell us to take them to the fountain show at bellagio? take them to a good live show, not sure which one to get tickets to, seems to be so many to choose from, although some may not be good for ages 8 and 12 yrs? folks have said that some of the hotel lobbies are really neat to just walk the girls thru, some have rides and are themed and such, we also thought a couple day trips outside of the city for some hiking, sightseeing, etc. would be good, don't think first week in april will be terribly cold based on temp charts i pulled up.

true, we thought 3-4 days was plenty for vegas and we are then planning to drive outside to possibly Zion or Bryce, Hoover Dam, do some hiking and sightseeing outside of vegas. can you make suggestions on what the girls, ages 8 and 12 yrs would enjoy while we are in the vegas area, we are trying to decide on a live show to take them to, the fountains at bellagio, and a walk thru the more interesting and unique hotel lobbies. Still looking for other ideas if you have any to add to our list here. we are not really casino folks so that will not eat up our time.

At the top of the forum is a list of things to do with kids. I do agree however that unless you are using Vegas as a base for trips outside the area, your girls will be bored to death.

The Bellagio Fountains are nice but are a one time thing. They may like some of the Cirque shows but if they don't have long attention spans, they may get bored. You might look into Blue Man Group.

Also, although the temperature charts may seem warm, you could get some days that just aren't pool weather, especially if you are from Florida. I have been there at the end of March and it was in the 50s.

MGM Grand is not exactly centrally located, but it is huge, and it has a great lion exhibit and gift shop. (Also a great pool if weather permits). Just down the street is the M&M's store and the Coca-Cola store where every souvenir is available. There also is a Denny's and a drugstore within walking distance.Actually, the fountains, Ceasar's(living statues) and many other hotels are within walking distance. If they have never been to NYC, New York New York Hotel has a good replica of Central Park.Hope this helps!

They might enjoy the Pirate Show outside of Treasure Island at night.
