Blackjack Switch Downtown

Good morning all,

I am plotting to lure (er, entice) DH back to Vegas for my (gulp) 50th, and this time would like to stay downtown (for the 1st time). Does anyone know of casinos downtown that offer blackjack switch?

Thanks for your help guys. Was going to "google" this one but why not go straight to the experts?

Sorry,

Blackjack switch (offered on the Strip at Bill's and Casino Royale) is where you play 2 hands at a time and you may "switch" the flip card between hands.

Help? Anybody?

Off the top of my head, I would look at the El Cortez or California. I am not much for the switch, but I think I can recall seeing them there. Fremont might have it as well. You are definitely more apt to see that game downtown rather than the strip.

It's offered at the 4 Queens for sure. I don't play it because it pays even money but a lot of people like it.

So do you see all 4 of your cards? So if you have Ace/Three and King/Six you end up with 21 on one and Nine to draw on the other?

Thanks for the info. I (heart) you guys!!

Wish me luck on the plotting.

Warmwinds: I'm not sure about the rules for Switch (I'm a slot feeder) but cards are dealt to the players face-up.

El Cortez definately does not have this game. To quote a pit boss ' we offer only Good Games'.

There is such a high house edge, I wouldn't even consider playing it. Total sucker game.

Hi,

Why is it only a "sucker" game. Oxygenator, I think it's unfortunate that you called my husband a "sucker". He finished breaking even after about a total of 15 hrs of play. Didn't cost him anything and he had a lot of fun. Aren't the real winners those who go to Vegas expecting to just have fun and not win a fortune?

I do not play this game, but when it came out I looked into it and I do not recall that the house edge was very bad on it, provided that one plays the correct strategy (which is obviously different from the normal game.)

I cannot access the wizardofodds site at the moment, but perhaps someone would like to check on this.
