Vegas Wedding. Anyone?

Has anyone ever gotten married in Vegas? My boyfriend and I have discussed it, but we're still not 100% (well, I'm not 100%, he is). Any tips?

Any tips? Yes... don't have an outdoor wedding in August. We got married end of September, just few months ago, and wearing a tux I was melting! I felt sorry for our guests as they were in the sun while we were at least under a gazebo in shade, but was hot as heck still even then. But yes, I loved our wedding and would do it again in a second! Loved it! Vegas was great, the chapel staff were excellent, and the price was perfect!

We got married in Vegas in June 99 and going back to celebrate our 10th Anniversary.

We checked out ALL the wedding chapels and picked the Special Memory Wedding Chapel - click on link

They were excellent and the room was really lovely.

There were 9 of us inc relatives and close friends.

Would do it all again in a flash !!

We got married in Vegas almost 2 years ago at Caesar's. It was perfect - beautiful, romantic and different than a cookie cutter wedding! We invited 90 people and ended up with 42 in our group. We think it was the best choice we made. It got our marriage off on the right foot. If you would like to see pictures, send me a private message with your email address. Good luck!

We went to vegas for 7 days october 07,

we didnt arrange anything before hand, just found the office where you get the licence, then rang the little white wedding chapel.

We were picked up from our hotel, luxor,

in a white stretch limo then arrived at the chapel,

we had decided to go for the drive thru, as i dont do serious , we stuck our heads out of the limo sunroof and said our vows,a photographer took pictures and then gave us the film from the camera to process later .I was also given a garter to wear and a red rose, one of the staff, stood as our witness so everything was sorted.

Turn up in whatever you want, traditional or kitch, it does not matter. I would never have got married traditionally, its just not me, but even so the little ceremony meant everything to me, and i would recommend it to anyone. organised in 1 day then married the next, and then we had 5 days left in which to do all that vegas has to offer.

AND the cost was so inexpensive, for the memories taken away.

hope this helps anyone thinking of taking the plunge in vegas.....feel free to get in touch.

YES!! I was married there in Sep 05 (in a helicopter) and it was great!! I would do it again in a heartbeat! No stress...only a few persons with us..so fun and fun to go back each year around our anniversary! People are so excited to hear our story too...not many can say they were married in Vegas...in a helicopter! I work with 2 other women who were also married in Vegas but did the whole casino wedding chapel route and they too would do it again!

My daughter got married there about five years ago. From the father of the bride's perspective, it was fantastic! we arranged everything over the internet -all menu selections, photo package, etc. We stayed at the Mirage and the ceremony and reception was at the Flamingo. The folks at the Flamingo were great, and everything went off without a hitch (pun intended). After the reception we all went to the karoke bar and danced all night. We had a great time at a fraction of the cost we would have faced back home.

Instead of 300 people I did not know, we had 70 of our closest friends and neighbors. Almost my entire cul-de-sac flew out from Charlotte.
