Silverton?

I have read/heard about a nice fish aqurium I believe in the Silverton Casino, is it true? Also I thought I heard somewhere where the tank had mermaids and such every so often performing? Basically I am looking at what non strip and downtown things to do on my trip out this time. Outside of GVR and Sams Town I have not been to any other non strip/downtown hotel/casinos and thought about checking some out this trip. Any suggestions?

Hi

Yes, your right, Silverton does have fish tanks and mermaids. They also have a good buffet.

Yep, it's called Mermaids! Really a cool spot, I've been a few times and the frinks are good. Haven't had the buffet, though.

I want to say there's a Bass Pro Shop there too but can't recall, I know there's one just near the strip as well.

Yes, Bass Pro Shops is connected to the Silverton.

Silverton's coffee shop is a great breakfast spot, too.

A great place to gamble, booze it up and shop for out-doorsey type stuff in the Bass Pro emporium. In the old days it was called Boomtown!

Indy...just enter Silverton in the search box, because I've replied to several inquiries recently about this property (it is one of our favorites) and also think I wrote a review after our stay there.

And don't forget the lounge, which has a little bowling alley inside an Airstream trailer!

Try finding something like that in your home town.
