March Madness arrangements

My friend started inquiring about possible arrangements on and off the strip for the 1st round of March Madness..

The South Point will have viewing set up in the Ballroom of the hotel with plenty of seating, and viewing for each game. There will also be food and Budweiser specials. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

gdog, I am interested as well. There has to be a casino on the strip that is going to come through with a ballroom setup for the first weekend. The Hoops Central location is where I have always ended up over the years be it at Aladdin, Excalibur, or the Hilton. Just no info as to where they will be this year. Keep us posted on what you hear.

The Flamingo is apparently having a set-up this year again. From their website:

"March 20, 21 & 22

Open to the Public!

Party pass tickets for 1 day ($20), 2 day ($30), and 3 day ($40)

Event includes t-shirt and 2 beverage tickets per guest. The party will take place in the Red Rock convention hall."

I wonder if they'll be setting up any satellite betting windows and how additional drink tickets will be handed out? Or, maybe I'll just see if I can trade in the worthless t-shirt for another couple tickets.

Thank you for contacting the Las Vegas properties!

We appreciate your interest in joining us for the NCAA. In reply to your question regarding viewing parties etc. this will be handled by invitation based on tracked play. I would encourage you to check your offers from your online account. The good news is that the games will be showing in all of our Sports Books and the majority of the bars and lounges at all of our properties. I hope this has been of help. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything further.

We look forward to seeing you for March Madness!

Paris is really screwing up a good thing they had last year.

It's probably the same idiot that wanted to switch to New Coke" :)

FYI....for the last number of years there has seemed to be great fear about the lack of places having rooms set aside to watch the tourney. Every year, it turns out that a lot of the casinos do setup something, they just don't advertise it much in advance.

The South Point had this same setup last year. The Orleans has one very similar. The Hard Rock had a setup as well which was better than both of those. There will be plenty of others. I wouldn't worry too much ahead of time, just call the casino the week before and I'm sure you'll find they've got something going on.

That Paris email is funny....check my offers to see if i'm invited. Right. One of the funnest parts of the first two rounds is seeing all the nutcases...you aren't going to get that at an invite only event.

The Flamingo deal is the same as it was in 2006,not as good as 2007, when it was 50 bucks a day, but OPEN bar!!!
