Arrived in Vegas monday 8/22~ flight uneventful and on time which is a good thing.
Arrived at Paris Hotel around 9:30 am. We have stayed at Paris/Bally's for the last 9 yrs or so. This is the first time that the treatment there was not up to par ~ at least on check in. We arrived and went to the invited guest's line . A girl started to check us in and told us that no rooms were available at this time but would be in a few hours. I told her that would be fine but we would like a room with a view. She told us that it wasn't noted in the computer for any upgrades . I started to tell her that we've been coming to paris/bally's for 9 or 10 yrs and she interrupted me to tell me that she wasn't really interested and sent us to the VIP lounge. We go into the vip lounge and the girl there has no idea why we were sent there so she marches us back to where we were before. I did inform her of the treatment of the girl that started to check us in. Didn't really seem concerned. Anyways ~ we get checked in on the 28th floor with a back view and next to the service room which meant slamming doors all morning. We really are not in our room much but i felt that the treatment should have been better for all the years going there.
The first day we basically stayed in paris/bally's and gambled. I started off well on the quarter poker machines and hit 4 4's with a 2 kicker which paid $200. We were up and down all day there.
Second day we ate a late lunch at Aladdin's buffet. That was the first time that we ever ate there and it was well worth it. I highly recommend it . The food was excellant~ price was good and the service was great. We definately will eat there again.
Gambling on the second day I held my own. Not really winning big but not losing big either. Mostly playing on the casino's money.
The third day my husband won a royal flush at Bally's on the joker's wild quarter machine! He hit for $1,230.00. That made his and my day.
We ate at paris lunch buffet which was also excellent. It always is though. The service was excellent also.
On Thursday we took the shuttle out to the Orlean's. Found a vp machine with a jackpot over $1,653.00. We sat down to play that. The place was packed so i couldn't switch machines like i usually do. Played about a half hour and i held 3 to the royal. Hit draw and up came the two i needed so i hit the royal flush for $1,653.00!!!!!!
On friday we went to the Luxor to see how their machines were doing. The VP jackpot there was $1,973.00. We played that for over an hour. I couldn't hit anything. I kept switching machines . Then i was dealt 4 to the royal in the heart suit. I said a little prayer and up came the 10 of hearts so i hit the royal there too!!! We were on a roll!!
We went to the tropicana and saw the Titanic exhibit. I've always been interested in the Titanic so that was very interesting to me.
Saturday our flight was leaving at 5:30 pm so we only had a half day to gamble and we gave it our all. Lost some money that day. I couldn't seem to hit much at all and either could my husband. We still came home with more money than we left with so that's always a good thing.
We talked to our casino host at Paris/ Bally's and got the distinct impression that comps are harder to get now more than ever. They did comp us 3 nights for sure at paris and $100 in food and also gave us $100 in free slots but as for the last 2 nights were still not sure if it was comped or not. Our slot host said he would do what he could for us but it didn't sound as convincing as i wanted it to be.
Next year we think were going to take our 3 nights free at paris and then maybe take luxor or aladdin's up on their offer's that they send us through the mail for rooms for $59.00
All in all we had a great time and i'm typing this at work and it's hard to get back in the groove again.
