Mirage or TI?

Have been to Vegas so many times and we are looking to book either the Mirage or TI this time have never stayed at either. The prices for the dates are very similar (Mirage $549, TI $519). Can you give me any feed back please at your experience staying at these properties. We really only have four things we really look at due to I know the casinos and restaurants in each.

How comfy are the beds?

Are the rooms insulated enough that you don't hear alot of outside halway or neighbor noise?

How is the water pressure in the shower?

The pools will be a big deal this time going over Memorial weekend, how are they?

Im staying at TI, and have a friend who just returned and he said the beds there are beyond amazing!

I've stayed at both places, and the last time I stayed at TI a few years back I cant recall the bed comfortableness but I do recall it being nice and quiet to sleep, while at the Mirage it was louder...but it could be just based upon the people staying there, we could hear the neighbors alarm clock going off at 6am though!

And the pirate show isnt a big deal for noise, if you plan on going to sleep before 11, request a room in the back.

The only place Ive ever had water pressure problems was NYNY, it was so weak I thought the shower wasn't fully turned on!

Not stayed @ Mirage, but have been @ TI twice.

Beds @ TI are the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in in my life- no exaggeration. In the rooms you'll even find a pamplet detailing how you can buy one of their specially-manufactured beds for your home.

Now, I love TI, but will be honest with you. Many rooms are connected to the room next door by a special door. This means you can hera your next-door neighbours if they are loud. You can also hear loud noises in the hallways (although I was never bothered by any noises personally.

Bathrooms/ water pressure in shower is fine, no complaints at all. Many posters on this site have also mentioned how they like the bathrooms & the free shampoos, creams, potions you get at TI.

Pool @ TI is small compared to many othet strip properties. Mirage pool, although I have no personal experience, get much praise on this web site, just as TI's pool gets much m,aligned on this site, mostly because it's small.

Hope this helps you make your decision.

They've recently done a major remodel on the TI - that's why the rooms are so good. We stayed there Jan. '07 because it was recommended as such a deal for the quality of the room. Now I see the prices are higher... but it's still a nice room in a central location. The typical TI room is more plush than the Mirage for sure.

Mirage has one of the best pools on the strip and will be very busy on Memorial Day weekend. The TI room renovations are very nice but the renovated Mirage rooms are certainly not a significant step down. For my $ , I'd choose the Mirage.

Mirage has just finished a room renovation of their own. It looks really funky now. You can see room pics on their website. It's been a long time since I've stayed at either so I've actually forgotten the details of the room like water pressure.

Mirage's pool is a 1000% better than TI's. Wait, make that 100000% better.

If pool is that important to you, then I give the edge to Mirage. But, they are next to each other, so you can stay at one and go check out the other. You really can't go wrong with either.

i would easily choose TI over Mirage. I don't care how small the pool is. I'll be staying at TI at the end of April and i can't wait

Wow, to each his/her own! It wouldn't even be a close call for me - Mirage hands down. The rooms are new (bathrooms a still a bit cozy)and the pool is simply one of the best in Vegas. (Haven't been to TI since they've redone their rooms.)

If a strip view is important to you TI has awesome views from the east tower facing south. At the Mirage we like the west tower upper floors facing south.

Do you know if you can use the pool at Mirage if you are staying at TI? I'm booked for TI next Thurs and can't wait.

You cannot use the Mirage pool if you arestaying at TI. I really like both properties, but the pool is MUCH better at Mirage.
