question about craps (from a kinda newbie)

OK - I thought if I placed bets on the 4,5,6,8,9,10 that these bets were safe on the come out roll. That is, I have them out there. Shooter makes point. I leave my bets there on the numbers. Shooter makes 7 on come out roll. My bets are safe, aren't they? They don't "count" on come out roll.

If this is so - then the craps game on casino-on-net stinks because it doesn't play that way.

(Anyone have better place to practice craps?)

Thanks!

You are correct, place bets do not "Work" on the come out roll. Maybe you have to put an "Off" button on your bets with their simulator.

Thanks for the tip. I can remove my chips from the place bets after a point is made, but you have to right-click each chip. Very annoying.

Can anyone recommend a better place to practice craps for free?

Thanks!

i don't know about video craps but in a casino the ODDS on your number bets are not working on the come out roll. this is an important distinction because if the shooter rolls a 7 on coming out roll, then you lose your number bets but not the odds.

Boraxo

Do you have any idea what you are talking about?

Or just no idea at all?

I only posted this to make sure that everyone could form their own opinion.

TD,

Go to www.cloudcitysoftware.com and download wincraps.

It runs on your PC and has a wealth of information in its help area and a very flexible configuration section.

It's shareware but you can run it free for 30 days (with nag screens). It's $24.95 US to buy as a download, a little over $30 for a disk.

www.wizardofodds.com and www.goingtovegas.com are web sites that also have good information about playing craps.

I have no opinion on Boraxo, other then it's great on greasy hands. On the Come out Roll, the odds on the Come Bets are off, but the Come Bets themselves work. Place Bets are off. As for on an online simulator, i don't play them, so, I don't know how they work. Just offering suggestions. If you are confused as to the Craps Terminilogy. Search for Craps Explained and read the post I made on that subject.

C'mon Vegasman

You can't place odds on the come out roll.

Not until a point is made!

You may think I am just upset because Chrispina just stabbed me in the back again,

but you know how that goes with women.

Now, excuse me.

I have to watch "Rome, Engineering an Empire"

UM,

Ok, the shooter rolls the dice and, they land on 4 and 2, so we have a point of 6. Shooter then rolls an 8, a 9 a 10 and a 5. A player made come bets and now has come bets on the 5, 8, 9 and 10 with odds on each. The shooter then rolls another 6, so the Pass Line wins. The next rool is called the Come out Roll, since we are looking for a new point. The odds on the 5, 8, 9 and 10 are off, but the come bets themselves are working. That's what we're talking about. The come out roll between points.

Them Romans were some freaky people, marrying nieces and stuff. They'd fit right in in Arkansas.

Hell. I'm still looking for the video craps machines.

That Boraxo guy, he's gotta lot of more information than I have.

I still blame it on that wanderlust Chrispina.
