Couples in their 40's want to drink and dance in Vegas

We go to Vegas for a week every year and a weekend or two. However, we don't usually have 3 other couples with us. These are friends that we've partied with since we were in our 20's. We'd like to find a place to party and dance that isn't a 'club' type place, long lines, etc. Good music, 70's, 80's.... Any suggestions? We're staying at MGM so somewhere in that vacinity would be ideal.

I'm part of a couple in my 40's!!!

We stayed at the Venitian last August and they have a lounge with a dance band that plays 70's & 80's music. It's right of the casino, no cover with a decent sized dance floor.

It was recommended by others on this site, but I can't remember the name.

We had a great time daning!

Actually the "Studio 54" club is in that casino and I don't think it gets much a line anymore.

But if your looking for free lounges close by, go to Mandalay Bay Hotel.

I agree with Mamaluu. The name of the place is La Scena.

The Fontana Bar at Bellagio has great bands that play all kinds of music!

The Carnival Court next to Harrahs. It's outside and they have those great "flare" bartenders. There bands are very good. Look for "disco man" on the dance floor. He's an older man with a cowboy hat, and I swear he's dancing there everytime we go. Have fun!

The Fontana Bar at the Bellagio is wonderful. No cover but drinks are around $15.A great place to dance with very good bands.

Yeah we saw the guy in the hat the last couple of times we were in Vegas. Great vibe there, but the music was very loud on our last visit (and i love loud music).
