Need some help with a bunch of questions for upcoming trip!!

I'm coming into Vegas with my wife this June for 4 days. We are arriving around noon on a Friday and leaving Tuesday afternoon/evening. We've both been there before (myself too many times to count), but are still confused on what to do while we're there. We're trying to plan our days so we have alot to do so we're not just sitting at tables all day long. Also, we are staying at the Imperial Palace to give you idea of location we'll be for surrounding area. So here are a few of the questions we were wondering if anyone knew about or could help us out with:

1) The number one thing she wants to do is take a tour to the Grand Canyon. I know renting a car and driving there is the best option, but she is against that, so what is the best tour group out there? We're looking at LOOKTours right now, anyone been on one of their tours?

2) She's always wanted to goto a buffet in Vegas since she's heard the wonderful things about them. What is the best ones out there for a cheaper/decent price (would prefer under $25 a person)? Any with coupons, 2-for-1s or any of that out there also (that are worth going to)? Also, do any of them have all-you-can-eat crab legs at any of them (would be willing to spend the extra money if they did and was good)?

3) We want to visit a good spa to get a massage while out there as well. Any suggestions on the best location to go (on strip or at Rio/Palms only since we're not traveling much out of that area)? Any deals going on at any of the places anyone know of?

4) I would like to try to goto a few nicer shows while we're out there and was told to go through Tix-4-Tonight to get good deals on tickets, but was unsure of what shows/discounts were available normally (since site only shows 4-6 shows a day sampled). Are any of these shows listed normally and what are their discounts: KA, Phantom Of The Opera, Rita Rudner, Terry Fator, Zumanity, or Le Reve? Any other shows that might be of interest as well? Anything but Blue Man Group (seen 3 times) and Love (not big beatles fans)

5) Being mid-strip, where are the best places around there for a cheaper, but good, lunch? Would prefer something other than a quick Burger joint (ie McDonalds, etc) or a Denny's/TGIF/whatever.

6) We're planning on seeing Mac King on Saturday (have the 2 free tickets w/drink purchase thing), but was wondering if it was worth it to upgrade them to the VIP line & VIP seating? It's only $5 more a person, but wasn't sure if it made the seats that much better or wasn't really worth it.

7) We would like to try out one of the Ultra Lounges/Nightclubs while we're out there as well and would mostlikely try either Friday or Saturday night. What is the best one that we'd have a chance getting into without a 2-3 hour wait and that would enjoyable? Neither of us are super dancers, going more for the experience and to check them out since it's something we always said we wanted to try.

8) We heard about the $6.95(?) steak dinner at Ellis Island and wanted to know if it was any good or not? Would be interested in checking it out (since we have 2-for-1 entree there as well), but weren't sure if it was worth the trek off the strip there (short as it might be).

9) We've heard about different places on the Strip that offer cheap drink specials and everything and was wondering where they were and which were the best (ie $1 beers/margaritas/etc).

10) What are some of the best free type attractions/shows on the strip (can be even shows like Mac King that has free ticket coupons out there)?

11) In reguards to the last question, is Gerry McCambridge worth the trek down to Hooters for a free show (after coupon w/ drink purchases)? Read some ok reviews, but still wondering.

12) It's been a while since I've been down by the Sahara, but last time they had that Test Track thing where you could test drive Hummers, Corvettes, etc on their tracks. Is that still open? Can't find anything on their website or anywhere else on it. Wanted to try it last time I was out there, but never made it down there.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Been trying to do as much research as possible online to try to plan everything out, but half the stuff I get is from last year or later than that information wise. Thanks in advance for the help!!!

2. We like Mirage's Cravings buffet. For that price range, Harrah's Flavors Buffet is also decent (these are all near 25 dollars for the dinner pricing).

There are also other places which I haven't been to yet, which people will probably suggest also. Here's my experience on Mirage's Craving's Buffet:

10. The Bellagio fountains and their garden area are all very amazing. Wynn's Lake of Dreams is also very nice.

3) My wife loves Qua Spa at Caesars. It ain't cheap, in fact it's ridiculously expensive as are all of the high end spas on the Strip, but she thinks it's a pretty cool experience and has enjoyed her treatments.

4) Jersey Boys. Have no idea if you can get discount tickets, but it's a heck of a show. I really had no interest in attending this show and didn't view it as my type of music (grew up in the 80s on U2 and The Cure), but I loved this show and so did my wife. She bought the CD and still listens to it sometimes in the car. The actors are very talented and can really sing, and there's something joyful about that 50s-60s music. Good true story too. Got a standing O at the end (and not your typical perfunctory standing O - folks leapt to their feet), and it was well deserved.

7) Only ultra lounge we've been to is TAO. No idea how to get in, we got through the maze of door dudes thanks to a friend who purchased bottle service at TAO Beach. Wild place, everything you think of when you imagine what a club in Vegas might be. Not much dancing to be done, too crowded. Not my scene, but definitely worth going once just to see it.

Here are answers to a few;

#2 Buffets are a must do at least once in Vegas and if you can only do one make it a good one. Splurge and do the Wynn. It's fantastic and has the crab your looking for. It's pricey but you can save on a couple of other things. Also if you don't want the expense do the Wynn buffet for lunch and spend time exploring the Wynn, Encore, Palazzo and Venetian.

#6 Live a little spend the extra $5.00 for the VIP line and seating. Just being in a shorter line will be worth the 5.00 and will make your wife feel special.

#9 Save on drinks by getting freebies at the slots!

Bonus answer go to smartervegas.com and look at all the specials see if any fit the bill for something special. I was able to find some great specials.

Have a great time!

Ellis Island $6.99 is actually very good. Their inexpensive breakfasts are also a good bet.

Don't forget to see the free BIG ELVIS show at Bill's Gambling Hall.

From Harrahs, you can catch a free shuttle to the Rio for their seafood buffet(may want to join Harrah's player club to get card to show driver). It's rated very high, but I don't like seafood enough to try it.

From there, you can walk to the Palms. Several good clubs, including Playboy. Joining their player's club may get you some kind of entry perk. For that matter, joining most all players clubs will get you a coupon book with 2-for-1s, etc.

Usually good free music at the Fontana lounge at Bellagio. And you can walk out on the deck to get the best view of the fountain show.

Don't forget to ride the Deuce bus downtown to see the light show. I like the pace DT and there's plenty of full-pay VP.

Cheap but good lunch? We like Cheesecake Factory at Caesars or Grand Lux at Venetian.

Have fun.

4) Try to get tickets to Cirque de Soleil's Mystere!!

Awesome!! Incredible! (We had free tickets included in our vacation package.....but I would have paid the going price)

Lance Burton at Monte Carlo!!! They have a wheel you can spin for free outside the casino. Every spin wins something......2 free beers, $10 in free play.

I won 2 free tickets to Lance Burton!!

Again, an amazing show!! I am fascinated by illusionists. He puts on a really good show!!

Of course......the morning we were leaving, I spun the wheel again........2 free Lance Burton tickets. Arghhhh!

We gave our voucher (only one voucher redemption per players card) to some LV newbies that hadn't signed up yet.

Hope they were able to make use of them!!

Wow, quite a list! ;-)

1) With just 4 days, I personally wouldn't spend 2 going to the GC.

2) Best buffets are Bellagio, Planet Hollywood and Wynn (not necessarily in that order).

4) All of the shows you list are frequently up at Tix4Tonight; the specific list and seat availability changes every day, so if there's one show you just MUST see, consider ordering in advance. There are some deals out there on KA, LOVE, and yes even O for advance purchase; check the Las Vegas shows page on travelzoo.com

6) I saw Mac King from the regular seats and the view was fine.

10) Free attractions/shows; all the major casinos have lounges with music, generally free. Don't forget that many of the hotels are attractions themselves!

You said that you've been there "too many times to count," what did you see/do that you particularly liked?

9) cheap drinks to be found at casino royale, $1 michelobs i believe, it is located between harrahs and the venetian on the strip. bills gambling hall also has cheap drinks, i believe $2 well & draft, it is located on the corner of flamingo blvd next to the flamingo and across from bally's. slot's of fun down a ways on the north end of the strip used to have large $1.25 margaritas, but i haven't been in a couple of years so you may want to double check that. the hard rock hotel center bar has happy hour everyday between 4-8 and they have $2 domestic beers and 2-for-1 call drinks. its off the strip on paradise road and the hotel itself is definitely worth a visit.

11.Mccambridge is ok and its free with the sign up promo, its worth spending an hour without gambling.

10.the piano bar at Harrahs is a fun time, there is also one at Paris and Ny/Ny. Definitely do big elvis at Bill's

9. Casino royales drink specials are good micheleob for a buck. Magarita there are good, but only about 8-10 oz.

8. The steak special at Ellis is worth the trip. It's good for the price. however 2/1 enteee is not valid. It may also be worth doing the barbeque between 4-8 coupon valid for that i think its like 12 dollars for bbq chicken and half rack ribs.

5 Carnegie deliat mirage, if you dont have big appetites you can share a sandwich for a copledollars more

4. get there early 9:30 gives you best chance. I heard they have Rita Rudner tickets sometimes, 40% off usually, dont think you will get the other shows on your list

2. Check the hours for the buffets some buffets do not close between lunch and dinner, so you can get there close to the end of lunch time pay rhe lunch price and get the dinner food, it would be an early dinner
