Double Double Bonus Poker?

I've been playing this game online & like it alot but I have two questions. Is this game avalable in Vegas casinos and if so what are the payscales like. The game I've been playing has a 9/6/4/3/1/1 payscale I'm not sure if that is good or not either.

Thanks for any help regarding this subject.

Double Double is widely available, but you're unlikely to see it at the 9/6 pay level unless you're playing dollars or above.

The best video poker is generally found at locals' casinos: Station properties (Green Valley, Red Rock, etc.), Palms, Eastside Cannery, etc. Wynn has some good VP, but you've really got to look for it, and most of it is at the dollar and above levels.

Check out the off strip casinos for the best video poker. South Point and M Resort have a lot of full pay games at the quarter level.

vpfree2.com has searchable databases of available games in Vegas.

Be aware that Double Double Bonus has a HUGE variance associated with it.

Looks like Encore, Excalibur, Planet Hollywood, Riviera, Sahara, and Wynn have 9/6 DDB at $0.25, $0.50, and $1.00 levels if you're looking for it on the Strip.

There's also a 10/6 DDB that a few places have, which is an over-100% game, though again, the variance will kill you unless you hit the hands you need to hit and fast. Stratosphere and Excalibur on the Strip have it, Palms has it slightly off-Strip, Palace Station has it slightly more off-Strip, and then a handful of "locals" off-Strip places have it.

Ballys, Mandalay Bay, Palazzo, Venetian, and Wynn have a 9/5 version.

Thanks all for your info!

I'm a Downtowner & haven't had much of a problem finding JOB 9/6 at .25 level so I imagine this would be the same for DDBP..?

Zero x: What is this varience you speak of, does it have to do with the lower end of the payscale being low?

Also are there machines where I can play multiple hands of the game at once (like 100 hands)?

I only play DDBP. I love it because the payouts are so much better. 4 of a kinds pay quite well. I've found this game in every casino I've played in. Most of the touch screen VP machines offer this game.

They do pay even for a pair of Jacks or Better - or at least every machine I've played on.

Just an FYI - I always play max bet. It's not uncommon to get a 4 of a kind. Four Aces with a 2, 3 or 4 can pay $2000.00 on a $1 machine.

It's true that 9/6 payscales may be more difficult to find - but I always play the next best thing. I'll steer clear of 7/5 however.

Where are you playing this online? I love playing on www.freeslots.com

At the Wynn, DDBP kept me busy for over an hour. I do not know if it was 7/5 or not but I had fun. This time I lost because those so called free drinks dulled my mind and I let a couple of good hands slip by.

Loveland: I use freeslots to practice for (love the warn mode) any VP game I want to master. I've been playing no deposit casinos online & was actually delt 4 aces on 100 hand X .01 game & won $204 (about 20 mins ago).

I can tell you that I played DDBP exclusively at Harrah's last October, and came out ahead with 4k.

When I am not doing well, I alternate between games, or move. I feel the poker gods were with me and I just got lucky over a 7 day period.

Honestly, if I am having a good time and winning, I don't bother to look at "the payscales." I am on vacation, and gambling is a part of my entertainment!

BTW, I only play what I am willing to lose. I feel that it is part of my vacation... I expect no return, therefore no regrets! It is the same as if it were the cost of my plane ticket, room and entertainment. It is all inclusive. That is what makes it so much fun!! LOL

Have fun and Good luck!!
