What gets you in the mood? The Vegas mood that is!

I am just wondering if everyone else does this?

The closer we get to leaving- I find myself checking this board more than my email! I also love Vegas history- but I can go months and not read or research anything- two weeks before a trip I will have 4 or 5 books sitting around that I am reading all on Vegas history! I just figured out today that must be how I get into the Vegas mood.....

Anyone else? What are your Vegas mood setting habits??

There's very few things that DON'T put me in the mindset of Vegas. ;)

I'm the type that likes to come every couple years.....and I never know what will set me off. We weren't supposed to go til summer 2011, but my dad got a simple offer from Mandalay Bay and forwarded it to me.....now we're going in March 2010......so I guess that was it this time!

Just seeing the Bellagio fountains. We were in a London station, having a coffee and they suddenly appeared on a TV screen - my heart actually beat extra time.

Anything with Elvis or Sinatra. The Vegas commercials. Any Vegas hotel advertising, strip clubs, alcohol, certain songs, buffets, taxi's etc. Yes, taxi's because I never take a taxi unless I'm in Vegas...:=) I go once a year and I can just feel my self slowly being pulled there if I haven't been there in a while.

I am always in the mood for Vegas, but I only get there once a year in March. I start looking and posting here around September until aroud May. I tend to fall off during the summer months because of work. life and other vacations. My husband doesn't share my love of Vegas, so we plan other trips during our nice weather months.

Yeah, Elvis and Andy Williams are my Vegas songsters! Also a movie like The Hangover or 21, even Rainman. Also watching the fabulous Louis Theroux Vegas documentary on youtube is a good mood-setter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6x4rn8zq4s0

Just remembered to try and get a DVD of Vegas Vacation in advance of our next trip!
