identification

please can you help, we are travelling from the uk to stay at vegas for our honeymoon. I just wanted to know if our picture driver license will be a valid form of identification for the casinos and bars of las vegas as we do not want to carry our passports around with us.

Of course this is totally up to the person looking at the I.D. as to whether or not to accept it, but generally, you don't need to bring your passport if you have some other kind of I.D. or drivers license. Keep in mind that some of these people aren't necessarily the smartest bunch (especially club doormen/bouncers), so a foreign drivers license might just totally baffle them, in which case, you might get turned away.

Some of us have no choice if we don't drive.

Despite huge misgivings i had to carry mine in Vegas. Wasn't so bad - just not what i'm used to.

But hey - when in Vegas...

you can't get an Identification Card? Here even if you don't drive, you are eligible to get a Government Issued Photo ID....specifically for instances that you need to prove your identity.
